floating market

Today we went to a Floating Market outside of Bangkok and it was surprisingly cozy! There was lots of souvenirs to buy but we only bought fruit for lunch. I don't want any crazy and heavy stuff to bring home - I'm already scared of packing my clothes, shoes and makeup! I hope it doesn't weigh too much! Anyway, it was very cozy. We visited a small temple, which was nice and I particularly enjoyed the boat trip out in the nature because it was so beautiful and peaceful. Now, I've just gotten back from the gym and tonight I'm spoiling myself with sushi and a Starbucks latte for my Skype date with my boyfriend. What are you guys doing for Valentine's Day?

paul's waffles

Today I met my Dad and we went to have lunch at Paul Bakery in the Central Embassy Mall. I was quite hungry after my dance lesson and we also had lunch rather late. We shared a delicious shrimp salad and a club sandwich - you don't want to eat too much in there because their desserts are fabulous! We also shared a waffle with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was scrumptious! I'm such a sucker for waffles with chocolate sauce and whipped cream... The Mocha with whipped cream was also very good. Afterwards we took a walk in the mall and played a round of pool when we got back home. Now I've just had sushi and tonight I'll just relax and watch a bunch of television series on my computer!

coffee & catch up

There aren't that many days left in Bangkok now...! I'm so excited to go home and see tons of family and friends and just chill; have coffee, gossip and catch up. I've been missing so many people and I've even started missing the cold weather! This picture is from the end of last summer - having goodbye coffee with a couple of friends.

knitted shorts

Here's my latest clothing crush - knitted shorts! How cool are these? I mean they would look so good with white light shirts, modal tees, fur coats and well, basically anything! I love these three pics because they show how knitted shorts can both be cute (like the blue ones) and more glam and almost "going out dressed" like the other two. I don't know where to buy any in a nice material though. Any ideas? Or do I have to get creative?

full moon & clouds

The other night when I walked home from my dance class it was dark and the sky was so gorgeous! The clouds and the full moon were creating such stunning patterns in the sky and I just had to stop and admire it.

granola café central embassy

Today I had lunch with my friend at Granola Café. I've wanted to visit the one in Copenhagen but I didn't have time before I went to Bangkok... Then I noticed that they'd opened one here in the Central Embassy Mall, which was pretty weird in my opinion but great of course! I had a latte and a toast with creamy scrambled eggs and black caviar. It was so yummy!

inspiration # 39

Today's inspiration mainly consists of thing I'll do or wear when I get back home... I really want to bake something and luckily it's my Mum's birthday soon after my return - so I'll probably get to bake something yummy for that occasion! In the beginning I'll probably chill around a lot, take long walks with my sweet dog and lounge in my beloved Stingray in silk rompers and shorts - I wish I had the beauties (below) from Dolce & Gabbana. And march is such a gorgeous month to get back to Europe with spring coming and everything (the peonies are symbolising that...). And I'll take long bubble bath with bath bombs from Lush on the rainy cool spring days.

ladurée in bangkok

So sleepy right now. It's been a super fun and active day. I woke up and had a slow breakfast, then I went to the gym for a butt and leg workout. After that, I had lunch and then I went shopping! I got so many great things! I bought jeans in American Eagle Outfitters. For some reason, their jeans fit me really well and they're very cheap so I don't mind... I also got a bunch of stuff from Yves Saint Laurent and a facial wash in Etude House. I'll blog about and post pictures of all that stuff later. Then I went back home and for dinner I went out to get my favourite Rainbow Maki from ISAO Sushi, a Starbucks latte and some cape gooseberries and nectarines for dessert. Now I just finished a movie and I'm going to sleep soon. These pictures are taken at Ladurée in Siam Paragon, Bangkok. I was the only one there and I just took a break, waiting for one of my favourite Carré bracelets to get repaired. I had a Salty Caramel Macaron and a hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was delicious! Normally I'm not a fan of macarons (I don't even like the chocolate and vanilla ones) but the caramel one was great! Maybe the taste just fit with the consistency of the macaron... Anyway, sleep tight!

winsor & newton water colour markers

What have you been doing today? I've been to work and then I got home, had lunch and tanned for couple of hours. Then I went to two dance classes and now I'm home in front of my computer. I played around with these new water colour markers from Winsor & Newton earlier. They are super fun but easier to draw abstract thing with in my opinion. I might get some new colours when I get back home.

the little black dress & lounging

I forgot to post this picture! I'm wearing a little black glitter dress and high heels and the picture is taken in the top lounge at Sofitel. Have you checked out my Instagram? It's emmaanemone in case you're interested!

spring beauty

So here's my beauty shopping list for spring. From above to the right: dark red lipstick and lip liner from either Nars or Yves Saint Laurent. A Clarisonic because I've heard that they are really great. My beloved Burberry London perfume. The new Nars foundation that's quite hyped but I'd like to try it or the next foundation that's coming up from YSL... The YSL Baby Doll perfume; a childhood memory plus it's great for evenings out. A new skin routine kit, I'll probably try out the Redness Solutions for sensitive skin from Clinique. And the Touche Éclat foundation from YSL - it's a classic. YSL powder and last but not least a pink lip liner to go with my everyday lipstick Nude Beige from YSL.

days left & liquorice

Today there are only 25 more days left in Bangkok! I have mixed feelings because there are so many great things out here but I also miss my house, my family and my friends at home so much! Below you can se my favourite things that come with living in Bangkok. This liquorice is actually a Christmas Calendar (but instead of chocolate I got liquorice, which I prefer) but since there are only 25 days left in Bangkok and I got it like one day before Christmas, I might as well start eating it today! It will be a scrumptious countdown for my departure from Bangkok.

Pros:
My Dad
Starbucks
Dean & Deluca
My Dance Classes
The warm weather
The cheap exotic fruits
The gym in my building
The cheap but delicious food
Chulabhorn Research Institute
The swimming pool and the tanning
All the shopping malls (particularly Terminal 21)
