Last day in the lab this week. Next week is going to be so much fun, I'm going to test a medicine on cells. I think I'll actually miss hanging out in the lab this weekend but it will be nice with some spare time.

This really made my day! I succeeded in the standard task that I got which means that I'm allowed to do "patient controls" tomorrow. I'm so excited! Pretty pictures, right?

ki day one

So this is what I'm doing all day... Arriving in Flemingsberg, research at Karolinska Institutet, lunch and then more research. It's so exciting and I really care deeply about the subject and my assignments. I promise I'll take some pictures of me in the lab... You can read a post that I wrote on Ray's blog.

Today we went to the Mittag-Leffler Institute with the Rays group. It was a lovely old villa with lots of mathematical books. We went on a really interesting guided tour and well, see for yourself. The place is beautiful! I listened to Library Pictures by Arctic Monkeys on the way back to Strängnäs and I just thought the title was appropriate.

depeche mode

We had tickets for the golden circle when Depeche Mode played in Copenhagen a week ago or so. It was an awesome concert. One of the best I've ever been to. Dave Gahan is so cool.

I think I have to reveal where I am... I'm in a nice town called Strängnäs because I've got accepted to Rays this summer and I'm doing a scientific project at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. These pictures were taken the day I left Northside for Stockholm. I missed Arctic Monkeys (one of my favourite bands) and Fun but I definitely preferred another offer I got... Stay tuned!

Northside festival was great fun and they had lots of good food. We saw Imagine Dragons, Keane, Phoenix, Tom Odell and Passenger. These are not my favourite bands but they were quite nice to listen to.

Just checked in, took a shower and now I'm going to sleep before I'm flying to Stockholm tomorrow morning for Rays! I am excited! Just had the best time at the festival Northside in Århus.

depeche mode & packing

I'm packing before I'm going to a Depeche Mode concert later this evening. I'm looking forward to it...! I'll probably wear black.

burberry watch

I am considering to buy this Burberry watch at some point. What do you think? It's gold and silver coloured.

oxford & balmain

I went to an Oxford meeting in Malmoe the other day where they told students and their parents about the application process, the university etc. Always nice to be informed.

pet shop boys

Went to see Pet Shop Boys today. It was a great concert and I enjoyed both the old and the new tracks. It was quite crazy and sometimes even a bit psychedelic but very nice indeed.

gelato round two

You have to eat a lot of ice cream when you're in Rome... I would recommend the old ones near the Spanish Steps or Pantheon. These pictures are from the latter.

School ends today! My second year is over and there's only one to go. Have a fabulous summer!

in disguise

I've pretty much been in disguise today. Yesterday when we played beach handball I got sunburned which means that I've been wearing a cap, sunglasses, jeans and a leather jacket slung over my shoulders today when I watched football. A bit too warm for that outfit.

We went to the Vinnie Who concert. I really enjoy his music and I deeply recommend it!

final party distortion

The final party was held out at Refshaleøen in Copenhagen. It is a cool industrial place and there were lots of people, music and foam. We had a fabulous time, we were there from about 7 o'clock to 6 o'clock in the morning.
