tom yum kung room service

IMG_8201 IMG_8267We're on our way back home from Bornholm after celebrating my Grandmother's 75th birthday today ( and since I know you'll probably read this - Happy Birthday, Granny!). It has been a lovely day with good food and company and it was such a long time ago since I was on this island! Feels good to be back, I really can't wait to go back this summer! Here are some pictures of my room service from the vacay. I ordered Tom Yum Kung (a Thai shrimp soup), spring rolls and a Chang soda, which was really good and definitely something I always have in Thailand.

poolside doughnuts & frappuccino

IMG_8572I am a little sleepy today and it sort of feels like I'm in a dream mode. I landed in Copenhagen at 07.00 after a 13 hour flight from Bangkok and then I went back home to unpack, unwind and then repack again. I'm leaving for Bornholm later tonight and I'm going there to celebrate my Grandmother's 75th birthday, which will be lots of fun! It's so cold here! I think I'm going to miss the poolside days with a pair of doughnuts and a Starbucks Chestnut White Chocolate Truffle Frappuccino a little bit. But it sure feels good to be back home!

spa cenvaree

IMG_8297IMG_8363IMG_8349 IMG_9677 IMG_9680IMG_9803IMG_8324Right now (European time), I'll probably be sitting in the airplane, having lots of yummy snacks to devour... So I figured that I'd schedule a post about more relaxed times - my treatments at Spa Cenvaree at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas in Hua Hin. I had two treatments that I'll tell you more about below; a body therapy treatment and a facial. Both treatments started with a foot bath and an antiseptic foot scrub and a cup of some sort of ice tea. They also both finished with a cup of delicious ginger tea and some dried pineapple for snacks while I relaxed with a warm shoulder pillow in the couch of the treatment room, watching the ocean and palm trees.

Body Therapy; Instant Smooth for 1 h & 45 minutes:

It started with a pumpkin and gooseberry body scrub, which was really nice and smelled absolutely delicious. Then we moved on to a body wrap consisting of seaweed, green tea, caffeine and botanical oils. The scent of this was divine as well and I was wrapped in warm towels and able to relax for quite some time while the mud was working. Then, I had to shower before a final massage with a soybean and jojoba serum to moisturise my skin. This treatment was super relaxing, I really felt pampered and my skin was super radiant and smooth afterwards. I highly recommend it! I'm not a huge fan of massages since I'm quite ticklish and I also feel like it's a waste on money because usually I never have any body pain that needs treating.

Facial; Face Hydration & Glow Jurlique Deep Cleanse for 60 minutes:

The brochure promised that this facial was designed to unclog pores and improve the skin tone. And it really, really did! My face feels super clean, moisturised (even after all the sun, salt water and sun block) and really soothed. Products from the Australian organic skin care brand Jurlique were used and you can see them in one of the pictures. The facial steps included cleansing, exfoliation, steaming (I don't think I've tried this more than once before and it was really lovely and warm), a cleansing mask and a facial and hand massage with lotion and oils.

good morning from bangkok

IMG_8121Good morning pretty readers! I hope you had a good night's sleep and that you'll have a lovely breakfast. I stayed up too late last night but I actually feel rather rested today. "The Big Short" was a super good movie! I highly recommend it, but don't be too sleepy when watching it... Anyway, I just wanted to make a quick update about my day... I'm currently having breakfast and blogging and soon I'll get dressed and go to the malls. I'm planning on buying equipment for school, new iPhones (!) for me and my sister and then I'll go to MBK to get my hands on some gadgets for them - from the boring stuff like plastic films for the screen to colourful cases. I probably won't go crazy and buy glittery Swarowski stuff because I tend to never use it, even though it looks pretty cool and extraordinary in an Asian kind of way. I usually have sparkly film though, I sort of like having a Barbie phone...

leopard print bikini & straw hat

IMG_9728IMG_9776IMG_9753 IMG_9743IMG_9673 IMG_9732We were really lucky with the weather in Hua Hin because it has been surprisingly cold here in Bangkok for the past few days, perhaps you heard about that? The heat came back today though so I can tan again! I think I'll miss the warm weather when I go back to Copenhagen on Friday. It's so fab to chill in super light clothes, sunglasses, my fave Victoria's Secret bikini and my huge straw hat. The plan is to go for a quick shopping round today, tan and then go to dance class before watching "The Big Short" in CineArt in EmQuartier. I'm really excited about the dance class because I danced with a teacher like one year ago when I was last here! Wish me luck!

my room at grand centara hua hin

IMG_9699IMG_9692Here are some pictures from the hotel room where we stayed at Grand Centara in Hua Hin. It was in two levels and I had the top floor all to myself, which was quite luxurious... I had a huge bed and a large and pretty bathroom. I also had a great view over one of the pools but unfortunately it was a bit difficult to get a good picture of that. One of the best things while on vacation is when you're returning to the shadow of the hotel room after a day of tanning and the AC is on and the bed is made and everything looks just like it did when you arrived...

hua hin seaside

IMG_9765 IMG_9767I bought a cord for transferring pictures to my Mac today! So now I can start posting some better pictures from Hua Hin... I'm wearing my brand new white Valerie shorts from Dr. Denim Jeansmakers in these pictures. I got them on sale at nelly.com and I'm actually really happy for them. I've unknowingly missed a pair of high waisted white denim shorts. I'm also wearing my giant straw hat, that I got in Bangkok about one year ago and my Victoria's Secret bikini. I really am a seaside girl, it has such a peaceful effect... Today hasn't been that relaxed and peaceful, I have been on a ten hour shopping spree. I actually didn't get that much stuff but I'll try to show it to you when I wear it. Now I'm sleepy and going to bed. Goodnight!

isao sushi

IMG_8441 IMG_8448 IMG_8454 IMG_8457Today has been such a nice day. It started with a hotel breakfast, ocean swims, a facial at the spa and then we picked up some food and a Starbucks frappuccino for the ride to Bangkok. I slept for a while in the car and then I took a shower upon arrival, got dressed and we finished the day at my favourite sushi place in Bangkok; ISAO. We went there early because it's always super difficult to get a table for dinner. We had hot green tea and salty edamame beans, of course, and my favourite sushi: Rainbow maki (the ones with white fish, tuna and salmon), Jackie (with shrimp) and Dragon (the one with avocado). Rainbow and Jackie maki are my favourites, the Rainbow ones are really light and feminine and Jackie maki are heartier.

spa cenvaree snaps

IMG_8309 IMG_8357Boy, do I feel refreshed! I got a body therapy treatment yesterday and a facial today. Here are a couple of black and white snaps, until I can get my camera photos transferred to my Mac. I went to the spa at Grand Centara, it's called Spa Cenvaree and I really felt well taken care of and pampered before, during and after the treatments. The body therapy was the most relaxing but I think the facial shows more result. I'll dye my eyebrows when I get home because they get bleached by the sun quite quickly. But doesn't my skin look good? It feels super good!

relaxing in the shadow

IMG_8416I've just had lunch and relaxed for a bit in the semi-shadow in the lounge area. I really don't want to get a burn before my body polish etc. That would be such a shame! Soon, I'm going for a swim and then I need to go to my room and shower so I feel super fresh for the treatment. It's called body therapy and consists of a full body polish, wrap and a mini massage. I'm super excited! The bikini I'm wearing is from Victoria's Secret and I think it might be my favourite one at the moment.

centara club sandwich

IMG_8181We had club sandwich for lunch today, that's probably my favourite vacay lunch. I never do it at home because it is, after all, quite demanding and you need lots of ingredients. I also had a Chang soda, which basically is sparkling water. I'm so excited because tomorrow and Friday, I'll be going to the spa for some body therapy and a facial. Bye exam stress!

golfing at royal

IMG_8285IMG_8290We went golfing just after lunch, which meant lots of heat, sweat and sun lotion and as you can see, I somehow managed to cut my thigh with a golf peg.... Other than that, I actually played fairly well... The Royal golf course is actually the oldest one in Thailand, which I find pretty cool. Now we're heading back to the hotel to go for a swim in the ocean!

hotel breakfasts in hua hin

IMG_8236IMG_8337I'm a huge fan of Asian hotel breakfasts. They are always so extraordinarily delicious and fulfil my every craving; from mini doughnuts, pancakes and waffles, to English breakfast classics (bacon) and fresh tropical fruits. Here's a marble breakfast picture from Instagram and an unfiltered wood one, taken with my camera. Looks scrumptious and semi-healthy, right? The pics are from the breakfast buffet at Grand Centara Beach Resort & Villas.

in hua hin

IMG_8173I've arrived in Hua Hin after what felt like a pretty long flight. I've had lunch, slept in the shadow of the palm trees, gone for a couple of swims in the pool and the ocean and now I'm really sleepy and ready to go to bed! We have a super cool two levelled room and my bed is huge and so, so soft! I can't wait to be fresher tomorrow and perhaps get a tan...

thailand tomorrow

IMG_8131 IMG_8094Hey pretty people! I'm sorry for not blogging in a while, as you know, I've had a big exam today, but tomorrow, I'll be travelling to Hua Hin in Thailand. I really look forward to some tropical weather, the salty sea, exotic fruits, getting a tan and relaxing!

inspiration # 57

flightdreamstumblr_ncryahfESB1txetloo1_500 inspo IMG_8713Hey guys! Sorry for not being super active lately, I've got an exam on Monday so I've pretty much only been studying and going for walks the past days. I really look forward to Monday afternoon when the test is done, then I'm going to see my BFF and her cute puppy, pack for Thailand and pamper myself a bit with a bubble bath or something like that... I really can't wait to relax, tan, read a nice book, sleep for however long I please, go for swims and work out. Now I'm going to get some more tea, some breakfast and go back to studying...

parade red burberry scarf

IMG_9591 IMG_9599 IMG_9602 IMG_9625 IMG_9629 IMG_9634 IMG_9643It's snowing peacefully outside and the view is super gorgeous whenever I pass by a window. I'm currently taking a mini break from my Chemistry studies for a quick blog update. Anybody else still got exams or is everybody done with them? Anyway, I wanted to show you this beautiful "Parade Red" cashmere scarf from Burberry that I got in London in December. I got it in the big flagship store on Regent Street right after the Burberry Breakfast. Whenever I buy something new, I almost never use it immediately, which I think most people do. It's a little weird but I sort of like that the clothes are still new in their bags and packagings. Particularly when the packaging is as fabulous as Burberry's! Can't wait until exams are done and I can continue living the Burberry life...

P.S. The setting outside would be perfect for some outdoor outfit pictures of this beauty... I'll try to take some pictures and post soon. And yes, these pictures are shot in my favourite Danish design spot - my Stingray by Fredericia Furniture.

first time skiing at vallåsen

Image Image 8 Image 29Image 5 Image 33Image 28 Image 36After studying and watching a cute French Bulldog for friends (that my friends are currently watching) for a few hours, my boyfriend took me skiing! It was probably four years ago since I last went skiing in the Alps, so I was a bit worried that I wasn't particularly skilled anymore. I was a bit rusty in the beginning, but I think I quickly went back to my semi-usual skiing... It was the first time wearing my beloved pink and pretty fabulous Napapijri helmet. Do you guys ski? I was just reminded that I actually love it! It was my first time at Vallåsen here in Sweden, and I was positively surprised since the slopes are actually quite nice and long. A big plus was that there was barely any people there today! I've had such an amazing day!
