walpurgis night in stockholm

Image 11Image 10
We've been quite lucky with our trip to Stockholm because it coincides with the King's birthday and Walpurgis night. Tonight is Walpurgis night and we went down to the old city centre to see the bonfire and feel some Walpurgis night vibes. Afterwards, we went to the skybar of our hotel to have cocktails. I had this huge one with raspberry and vodka that was really good. We've been out and about today. We started with going to the King's birthday, which was actually pretty fun to see. Then we went to Rosendals Gardens to have some cakes and take a walk in the beautiful surroundings. Pictures are coming up of that in the following week I hope! It has been a pretty fairytale Sunday. I'm happy that we also have tomorrow in Stockholm because we're having such a good time! Love travelling with my Mum (we're just missing my little sister!)!

lumière by patrick demarchelier

IMG_5650Image 16Image 12Image 13IMG_5656IMG_5658IMG_5654
Today we went to Fotografiska, which is my all time favourite museum. They have amazing exhibitions, a great shop, beautiful location and the café is lovely. They only display photographies and I've really been looking forward to seeing the Lumière exhibition by Patrick Demarchelier. Fashion photography is obviously an interest of mine. And the photos were absolutely stunning! I'm pretty sure you recognize some of the pics above (the Angeline Jolie ones and the rose hat?), they are just a small potpourri of my favourites from the exhibition. Fotografiska also had some exhibitions with Lennart Nilsson, Weegee and Cooper and Gorfer. There are just a couple of weeks left until the Patrick Demarchelier exhibition closes, so in case you visit Stockholm soon - it's a must!

sthlm brunch club

Image 3Image 6Image 4
And we're finally here! I'm on a weekend trip with my Mum, we're in Stockholm and the sun is shining. We went by train early this morning so we were pretty hungry when we arrived (even though we had some breakfast on the train because we travelled first class - so spacious) so we went to STHLM Brunch Club because I've heard that it's impossible to get a table without queuing on weekends (throwback to Granger & Co. in London)... And it's a national holiday in Sweden this weekend, which means that there will probably be lots of people enjoying life and the sun. It's lovely weather here and I'm so happy it finally feels like spring! Anyway, we had delicious food at STHLM Brunch Club. I chose the club sandwich (very appropriate) and it was untraditional but super good! Perfect lunch choice! I also had a berry smoothie and my Mum had a frozen acai bowl that was super good too. Then we went out and about in Stockholm and I did some shopping already. I've also had a closer look at a dress that I've been looking at for some time now...

tapas time

Image 1
I decided to spoil myself with some tapas earlier this week because I've pretty much been a studying loner all of last weekend... I know I'm posting this at a rather odd time but I'm going to school soon and afterwards I'm going home to pack and stuff for the weekend's adventures! I'm so ready for some social time in the sun!

sakura by the sea

IMG_5306IMG_5237IMG_5327IMG_5294IMG_5216IMG_5336There is such a sakura hype in Copenhagen at the moment and it's moved to the seaside now. We managed to get these pictures early this morning before going to have breakfast with my Grandparents. It was hailing yesterday when we decided to go shoot some pics so we gave up pretty quickly and it was super cold and uncomfortable. I'm wearing a new dress from Boohoo that's pretty and comfy at the same time but I really dislike wearing dresses like this with tights and unfortunately I live in a country where it hails in April... I'm so excited about this weekend!

Outfit:
Sunglasses: Dior.
Earrings: Dior.
Feather Coat: Furst.
Dress: Boohoo.
Boots: Notabene.

bread & beverages

Image 3
I've had lunch with my Mum today at "Møllers Kaffe & Køkken" here in Copenhagen. They have the best freshly squeezed orange juice ever and I can't even begin to describe the whipped butter, it is so so good! I'm going back to school soon and then I'm going to a meeting tonight. I'm a little nervous about that! But before that, we're going to take some pics but the weather is a little tricky at the moment.

fresh monday mood

Image 2
Hi lovelies! It's Monday again and I'm starting the week with a refreshening Dior facial at home. I went to school and to the gym today, so now I'm relaxing and prepping for a week of studying before we're going on a vacay this weekend! I'm so excited and I'd better start figuring out outfits soon! It's been pretty difficult to focus on studying this weekend because finding cool brunch spots in Stockholm is apparently a lot more fun...

mediterranean vibes

IMG_5143IMG_5141IMG_5150
I've finally gotten some plants in my apartment! It has been pretty "dead" so far with only freshly cut flowers (they are lovely too though). I got the two lemon trees a long time ago but they've been at my house in Sweden and I recently bought a pair of olive trees. I love the Mediterranean vibes of these trees and they are in the most perfect pale terracotta pots. So pretty! Now I just have to get a Monstera - I already got a huge pot for it. So if you have any ideas of where to get a Monstera, I'd be really happy to know because the two places I know are all out. Today is a pretty chill day, I'm going to study some Biochemistry, go to the gym and perhaps go to Magasin to have a look. And then I'm planning on Skype watching The Killing with my boyfriend tonight.

post yoga pre weekend

Image
Hi lovelies! Sorry for blogging so late in the evening. I went to school pretty early to finish an assignment and then I had a tutorial. Afterwards, I went home to study, have lunch and make a few calls before going to Hatha yoga. It was nice to get some meditative exercise prior to the weekend. Unfortunately, tonight wasn't about picking an outfit and going out for cocktails at my favourite cocktail bar but instead I've been studying most of the evening and I made myself dinner and put some chickpeas in water for a recipe that I'm trying out tomorrow. Well, I'm pretty sleepy now so I'm going to go to bed. The top is from H&M and the sports bra is from Primark (they actually have surprisingly good sports bras even though they are really small - I think I should've had the 38 and not 36...). Gosh, when I'm looking at this selfie I really start to miss my eyelash extensions.

iki sushi

Image 9Image 12
We just got back from the sushi place and we're both extremely full! We had dinner at Iki sushi that I wrote about in a previous post and it was really good and nicely plated. Other than that, I've been to school today. Afterwards we went to my Grandparents' place and had a cup of tea and a chat and then we went back to my apartment. Since we got back to Copenhagen last night and I brought a bunch of stuff like new plants and whatnot, I had to do a bit of cleaning, studying and then we watched some TV and went to the gym (leg day). Now, we're going to get in our pyjamas and watch some more "The Killing" before going to sleep. It's super exciting but I'm getting up early tomorrow so we have to go to bed pretty soon.

pre birthday celebration

Image 6
My boyfriend's semester unfortunately starts with really bad timing. His birthday is next week and he's leaving this week. Anyway, I celebrated him a bit this Sunday and I just booked dinner for us the night before he leaves. We're having sushi in a place I've never tried before but had recommended. Luckily the weather was quite nice so we could sit in my garden and have some key lime pie that I baked and lemonade from Aarstiderne. The key lime pie was actually really good but we were pretty full after lunch and soft ice. We had such a good day yesterday; lunch at Holy Smoke, ice cream outside Sofiero, a long walk admiring the rhododendrons in Sofiero and then we had some cake at my place. This Monday morning, which is a day off in Denmark and Sweden, I'm fixing lots of stuff and my Mum and I made really exciting plans that you'll hopefully soon see on my blog!

sunday hangout vibes

Image 4Image 7Image 15
It was sunny today so we decided to go on a little trip out and about. We drove to Holy Smoke because they opened only two days ago. We shared their pulled pork and brisket (the brisket has been in the smoker for 14 hours and it literally melts in your mouth - to die for)! It's really true to concept and cozy - particularly when the weather is nice because you can hangout by the fire and grill marshmallows after lunch or dinner. However, my Burberry Paddington coat and pashmina shawl really smelled smoky. Anyway, we had a great time. Perfect Sunday hangout place!

happy easter

Image 5Image 13
Happy Easter! I'm actually just relaxing at home this weekend because I needed to take a few days off. So what I've been doing is pretty much going for long walks and tomorrow we're going to go on a small trip. Today I've baked lots of stuff too and afterwards my boyfriend picked me up to go shopping (he got three pairs of jeans and I was a little scared that he had a silent stroke or something) and when we drove home, it was snowing like crazy! It's April and I cannot tolerate snow at this point. I mean it was so warm and spring-y a couple of weeks ago and now it's cold, raining and snowing... We had dinner at my place, watched "The Killing" and ate the Pavlova I baked today. Now I'm super tired so we're going to bed.

garage again

Image 4
Today I've been to Garage with my BFF and her dog Nelson to celebrate the first day of my easter vacay (which is barely existent). We had the world's most scrumptious hamburgers before going for a walk. Unfortunately, it was really cold so we went home almost immediately. And at home, the weather was a lot better so my Mum and I walked down to Holy Greens to get a salad for dinner. Now I've just studied for a short while and I'm going to watch some tv and relax. Do you have any plans for easter? I plan on baking some cakes tomorrow - perhaps key lime pie and pavlovas? And I'm doing a bit of gardening for my new apartment too.

open face lumpfish roe sandwich

Image 1Image 2Image
A few pics form our lunch at Café Norden yesterday. It really is one of my fave places (perhaps because of the Scandinavian vibe) and it was such a long time ago since I was there. I tried their delicious seasonal lumpfish roe dish that I've never tried before because I haven't been there in April. I adore the ceiling ornament and the interior. Too bad it's always super busy! Sunnies from Fendi, earrings from Dior and shirt from Ralph Lauren.

cherry blossoms & cemetery gates

IMG_5123IMG_5110IMG_5105IMG_5133IMG_5050IMG_5101IMG_5120IMG_5108IMG_5049IMG_5041We went to the current mandatory picture place in Copenhagen - Bispebjerg Cemetery. There is a cherry blossom avenue in bloom and people are crazy about it, so obviously I had to visit too. And I must admit that it was quite beautiful and definitely the perfect outfit picture background even though there were so many people there making it difficult to get a people-less and nice shot. Anyway, it was worth a visit and really beautiful. For outfit details, see below.

Outfit:
Sunglasses: Fendi.
Earrings: Dior.
Feather Coat: Furst.
Shirt: Ralph Lauren.
Pants: Bangkok.
Sneakers: New Balance.

pretty in pink

Image 3
Hey lovelies! I hope you've had a nice weekend too. I had an amazing weekend and I can't believe how nice the weather was yesterday! So sunny and hot! This is what I wore for a walk down at Kastellet. I adore my Club Petanque sweatshirt and astronaut ice cream and Dior sunnies. I'm off to school soon so I better get ready for that.

dining space

IMG_4824IMG_4837IMG_4856IMG_4871IMG_4953
I bought these ranunculus a while ago but they still look really cute (I think I got them like 14 days ago!?). This is a little corner of my apartment - the dining space. I bought the Kartell Louis Ghost Chairs designed by Phillippe Starck and the Bourgie Table lamp and I'm so happy for both. I've been wanting them like forever! I got the over the top gorgeous mahogany table from my Grandparents and I love the mix of antique mahogany and quite modern Louis XV style plexiglass chairs. And I added the sheepskin to make it all a little bit more Scandi. Now I just need to try and get a glass plate for the table made, so I need to man up and call somebody who might be able to do that... Today we haven't really been up to that much; we've studied, went for a long walk in the sunshine, went to the gym, had dinner and I just tried out my Dior Hydra Life products after the shower! They were so comfortable, luxe and my skin looks really pretty now.
