strawberries & mango

After workout and dance class snacks... I love the fruit here! It's so delicious, fresh and there is so much to choose from! Here's a snap of some sour mango and Japanese strawberries I had after a dance class the other day.

Pictures from last night at Sofitel. The kitchen was the place with the best lightning, so we left the lounge to take some outfit pictures there. In the lounge we had some wine, some snacks, talked and later my friend came over and then we went to The Vault at Soi 11. It was a fab night! Hope your saturday night was fun too!

chinatown in bangkok

Yesterday my Dad and I went to Chinatown here in Bangkok to stroll and have dinner. It was very cozy. We had dinner at T & K Seafood, I had prawns and they were good. I didn't buy anything, most shops were closed but I got some fake eyelashes. I got the basic discreet ones, not the 4 cm pink ones... I was very casually dressed in a white long tank top and a black skirt, hence no specific outfit picture. But I wore red and golden bracelets to match the Chinese setting.

I'm currently in the middle of an experiment in the lab and immediately after work I have two dance classes. I'll probably squeeze in a Starbucks latte in between workouts and some shopping... I'm considering to buy a body that would be great for partying combined with black jeans. We'll see! I'll be so sleepy tonight when I get back but then I'll have some mango and other fruits for dinner, take a shower and relax. This outfit is from yesterday when we went to ISAO to have lunch. I'm wearing a black backless tee from Bali, a black mini skirt and Extreme Coral lipstick from Yves Saint Laurent.

I find these heels from Christian Louboutin the most elegant and sophisticated out there right now and if I were to buy another pair of fancy heels - I'd probably buy one of these three. From above: Monicarina Veau Velours, So Kate and Daf Booty. I think the Monicarina ones are from an old collection, thus no longer available but I'm quite tempted by the two below... The Daf Booty (in leather and in suede) is gorgeous for early spring and fall but the black patent So Kate seems to be a pump you have to own. Particularly if you're a fan of the style icon they're named after!

golden & black look

Here's a closeup of my jewellery and makeup this evening. I did slightly smokey golden and black eye with my Naked 2 palette and I'm wearing my everyday pink lipstick from Yves Saint Laurent and blush from NARS. I think I might try getting a darker colour next time I'm in the mood for a new YSL lipstick. My dress is just a minimalistic black maxi dress. We're going out for dinner at an Italian restaurant now.

rotsaniyom romper

Here's another christmas present that my sweet sister bought me here in Bangkok. It's from a Thai brand called Rotsaniyom (mine is from Rotsaniyom White Label) that makes the most gorgeous lace and silk clothes and nightwear. If you're in Bangkok, you should really go to their flagship store in Siam Center and check it out because it's stunning! The packaging is also cute and simple somehow. Anyway. I got this super cute white lace and silk romper, I would like to wear it during summer days à la how Rumi Neely dresses. But I don't know if it's too thin and pyjamas-y... But it's just so beautiful! We'll see, maybe I'll wear it during the day sometime this summer...

salade niçoise à la greyhound café

Salade Niçoise at Greyhound Café. Some girlfriends came over and slept one night at my place before they travelled on, which was very nice. We went shopping, had lunch at Greyhound Café and went to Above Eleven to enjoy the view and have a cocktail. Doesn't this look delicious?

raspberry truffle mocha

I bought this Raspberry Truffle Mocha Frappuccino and it was super delicious! It reminds me a lot of the traditional birthday cake we always make for family birthdays. It's also chocolate, meringue and has raspberry whipped cream. So I liked this but I think I prefer this kind hot and the Chestnut Praline Latte as a Frappuccino... Maybe I should change the description of my blog to also include latte reviews... But it's quite cute so I had to post it!

carré christmas presents

I just recalled that I haven't shown you some of my gorgeous christmas gifts! It's not that tricky guessing which jewellery company is my favourite... Carré always has beautiful slim chains and their gemstones are beautifully cut. My favourite gemstones are citrine and rose quartz. I got the ring from my dear Mum and the earrings from my sweet boyfriend.

black & red cravings

Here are some of my most urgent cravings... A dark red lipstick, a black leather Antigona bag by Givenchy, a black Gucci belt, second skin skinny jeans, a Gucci Boston Bag and Daf booties by Christian Louboutin. Well. I always love wearing black but right now it's a real craving! Maybe it's because I've sort of missed winter this year...? I thought it was a long time ago since I posted a collage.

passionfruit & seed crispbread

Here is another breakfast photo... I usually always eat passionfruit because I like to eat something sour in the morning and it's my favourite fruit. I'm also baking crispbread every sunday (I just took it out of the oven) made from eggs and different kinds of seeds, that I eat with a slice of cheese. I'm a real dairy junkie so I have to have a big cinnamon latte and cheese in the morning!

 Hey! What are you doing today? I went to the gym, then to the pool to tan and this evening I went to Dean & Deluca and had dinner and worked on a scientific article on my Mac. Unfortunately they didn't have internet at Dean & Deluca...? I had a tuna salad and a Caramel Ice Latte, which was yummy. On my way back home I did a little grocery shopping and later in the evening I met a friend for drinks at Soi 11.

Going to the studio and realising that my dance class was cancelled I thought it best to buy a Chestnut Praline Frappucino at Starbucks and head home and do some tanning. What did you do today?

As I finished my fourth bottle of Burberry London I thought that I might buy two bottles of perfume during the spring. I would really like to have two bottles - my beloved Burberry London (above) for everyday use and another for special occasions and as "How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are" suggests: on cold days. I am considering to get my first ever fancy perfume again; Baby Doll from Yves Saint Laurent or the fabulous Flowerbomb from Viktor & Rolf. What do you think French or Dutch? Here are some light inspiration pictures... Kate Moss in Prada (do you remember that Vogue cover?), Clémence Poésy, unknown dressed in pretty colours and with a lovely tan and Brigitte Bardot with her gorgeous blonde hair and a white fur. I am actually buying another faux fur soon but I will have it delivered at home and not here in Bangkok so I better wait until I get back. And I think I'll get it in black... Today I went to the gym, afterwards I went to get manicure and pedicure and I just had a delicious Australian beef for dinner.

isao sushi

My Dad and I went to ISAO to have lunch today. It was a very chic little, well-disguised sushi place with lovely food. We ordered edamame beans, hot green tea and a bunch of maki. Above is the Dragon (you might've guessed that) and below the Rainbow maki. We also had some splendid California maki with snow crab and avocado. I had way too much to eat! Afterwards I tanned by the pool and after dinner I'm going for my dance class.

small silver earrings

I bought myself a gorgeous new pair of small round silver earrings yesterday. I think they are quite Freja Beha Erichsen-ish and display a certain raw and simple Scandinavian feeling. The Burberry Brit Rhythm perfume and the small Burberry lipstick are testers that I got when I bought my favourite Burberry London (which I have to get a new one of, also thinking about the YSL Babydoll - my first fancy perfume ever...) and I adore the petiteness of the lipstick. They're pictured together with my beloved diamond ring on top of a case for two Dior nail polishes.

how to be parisian wherever you are

Today after 1 hour and 30 minutes at the gym, I went to Terminal 21 and Central Embassy to run some errands, have a latte at Dean & Deluca and start reading my new book "How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are". It's a very nice and quite funny book and I must say that I am Parisian in many ways (according to the book). I was also very happy to discover that at least the authors of the book think that nobody needs to be from Paris in order to be Parisian. Although Dean & Deluca inside of the Central Embassy Mall isn't very sidewalk café-ish or even French, it was still very cozy. Now, during the evening I had sushi and soon I'm going to bed after updating my blog. I hope you had/are having a lovely saturday!

studying at starbucks

It's official. They no longer have the Toffee Nut Latte at Starbucks, nor the espresso whipped cream... I think I'll survive, though. Today I went to the Central World Mall to find some nice makeup bags - any ideas because I didn't find any? I also wrote most of a scientific article that I'm writing for my internship and had granola, yoghurt and a latte for lunch.

These pictures are from the autumn when we went to Rayong, this was one of the more windy days - maybe not ideal for wearing my black floppy hat... This morning, I've been to the lab and subcultured my cells, I've spent two hours by the pool where I was tanning and swimming a bit. Now I'm working on a scientific article and later tonight I'll go to my dance class. I've got the rest of the week off, so tomorrow I'll probably go to one of the malls and run some errands and work on my article. I hope you all have a fab wednesday!

green leaves & a plunge pool

I adore this kind of huge green leaves and bamboo trees. I would love to walk around in a bamboo forest somewhere in China. We saw these when we were up north here in Thailand, in Khao Yai. I just forgot to post them. We stayed at the Botanica Hotel, which was very nice, rather minimalistic and with a huge focus on nature. We also had this plunge pool just outside our room but unfortunately it was super cold, so we only plunged in it once or twice.

Here's a mix of some of the stuff I got for Christmas and stuff I bought out shopping with my sister. It's a splendid mix of pyjamas, rompers, fancy black slacks, underwear and jewellery.

black mountain

When we were in Hua Hin, we played golf at Black Mountain, which was very nice. I played nine holes and my sister played nine as well. My grandparents and Dad played 18 holes. It was a beautiful golf course but my gold skills were a bit inconsistent... I got par on two holes but I had to pick the golf ball up a couple of times as well.

Today my sweet sister and grandparents unfortunately left Bangkok to go home. We have had an awesome Christmas and New Year in Bangkok, Cambodia and Hua Hin. These last two days, my sister and I went shopping, which was a lot of fun. These pictures show me having waffles and coffee in Dean & Deluca and with my shopping bag outside of Groove in the Central World mall. I'm going to miss them!
