inspiration # 35

The clothes I crave at the moment... Lace shorts, pretty leather or suede boots and skinny jeans or leather pants. I want to go to Terminal 21 soon and search it for these things... I started my day with "The Stranger" by Albert Camus and coffee on the balcony. Now I'm getting dressed and considering what to do. I think I'll tan for a while and then go to Siam Paragon to shop for a notebook, buy tickets for the cinema tomorrow and food for tonight. Have a lovely sunday!

happy loi krathong

Happy Loi Krathong everybody! We just went to the Benjasiri Park to "loi the krathongs". It's a very pretty and colourful tradition where you send little boats made of flowers, leaves and lights into the water. While you do it, you also have to make a wish. Can you guess what I wished? We didn't stay for a very long time though, since it was super crowded.

lemon meringue pie & carrot cake

We went to get some cakes at Dean & Deluca today. Hopefully we deserved it! Dean & Deluca always have so many cakes and they all look so scrumptious. But I do believe that the lemon meringue pie is extraordinary. By the way, the new Dean & Deluca in Embassy Mall is very nice.

headband à la mary-kate olsen

My sweet little sister got one of these while she was here and looked super cute in it so now I've also bought one. I'll try to wear it like Mary-Kate Olsen. I think I want to dye my eyebrows soon, particularly now that I'm slowly getting more tan.

light blue hydrangeas

I bought these pretty light blue hydrangeas. I think they are super pretty, especially with all the cream colour in my room here in Bangkok. These also remind me of home because we have a pink and purple hydrangea bush in our garden. They have tons of gorgeous flowers here and I also want to visit a flower market while I'm here in Bangkok.

long table

My dear little sister went home today, which is quite sad. I am already missing her a lot. But she's coming again in a couple of month and then we'll do lots of fun things together. This picture is from yesterday at Long Table where we had a cozy dinner. Long Table is a really cool restaurant with great thai food. I'm wearing a casual outfit and a bit crazier hairstyle.

mossy green & blue

While on a walk in the Benjsasiri park, we also fed the turtles. They are so cute! I didn't discover that their heads are slightly blue before now. I also like the moss on the shell of this one.

smoke in a bottle

Happy Halloween! Since I'm not home I actually didn't have anything particular to wear. But wearing black clothes, silver jewellery, purple lips and extremely pale skin always look a bit spooky - or at least gothic. We also went to Iron Fairies, they didn't have any special decoration for the occasion. They really don't need it! I had a drink called Smoke In A Bottle. Perfectly spooky for halloween.

the view from marriott rayong

I think this has got to be the coziest extra bed in the world. The view is just fantastic! Especially when I'm used to seeing the ocean every day and now that I reside in Bangkok I haven't seen it in two months. I've got a soft spot for a nice place to be next to a window with a nice view. Like a cozy windowsill or a comfy bed.

garrett's cheese popcorn

We ate Garrett's popcorn all the way down to Koh Samet and also now on the way back from the island. The cheese popcorn are really, in fact too, yummy and they can be bought in Siam Paragon. The cute tin boxes are now used for storing chunky bracelets and stuff in my room.

serenity

Today was absolutely lovely! It started off with a nice breakfast. I always like hotel breakfasts... Then we went down to the pool. We were basically the only people there! I swam 1 km., the pool was 50 m. long! We also went swimming in the ocean and my sweet little sister shot some pictures of me down by the cliffs. I'll share them with you later for previous mentioned reasons. Now, I'm super tired from all the sun and swimming. I will do some evening studying, and then I will go to sleep. I love my bed here. I'll post pictures of it too when I get back to Bangkok. Tomorrow we're probably going to Koh Samet depending on the weather and our well-being. Goodnight!

cute suitcase & garrett popcorn

We've been on a small road trip where we had had Garrett popcorn and Swedish candy that my sweet sister and Mum brought and sent. We also stopped by Starbucks for three ice lattes. After a comfortable and cosy drive, we arrived at the hotel here in Rayong. It is super nice! I took lots of pictures at the infinity pool today but unfortunately I forgot the wire that connects my camera and my Mac... You'll get them when I get back to Bangkok. Tomorrow, we're considering taking a boat trip to the islands. The picture above is of my new suitcase. It's so cute!

infinity pool

You have got to love an infinity pool. This one in the Marriott Resort & Spa is quite gorgeous and the pool is also extremely large. In the other end, there is an aquarium on the side of the pool. The pools are actually quite remarkable there. I swam 1 km. in one of them.

el gaucho bangkok

Went to dinner tonight at an Argentinian restaurant called El Gaucho. Their burgers are good, in fact, we all had cheese and bacon burgers... Tomorrow my sister and father and I are going to the coast of Thailand. I really look forward to that! The pose is a bit awkward because of the weird lightning in the restaurant. I thought it was better to have an uncomfortable pose than to look really shadowy in the face... My sister also applied my makeup this evening, she is super talented. I'll take a close-up of it some other time. So happy she's finally here!

inspiration # 34

I stumbled upon the last picture on the internet a couple of days ago and I figured that I'd post a small compilation of some gorgeous women. From above; Catherine Deneuve, Jean Shrimpton, Edie Sedgwick and last but absolutely not least; Audrey Hepburn. These beauties never fail to inspire and I love looking at old pictures of them. The clothes they wear are so classic that they would most definitely work today: the cute bow in the hair, the black top, the black fur and I can't even begin to describe the last picture.

japanese & american food

Here's the sushi from last night. My boyfriend and I went to the Japanese place around the corner. He had Asahi beer and I had green tea. Other than that, we had California Rolls, edamame beans and Japanese potato croquettes. Yummy! Another yummy place is the Bangkok Burger Company. The curly fries and the milkshakes are just to die for - not to mention the burgers! During the day, I'm mostly studying in sport clothes or PJ. That explains the lack of outfit pictures.

glitterati nail lounge manicure

Got a manicure and a pedicure today at the Glitterati Nail Lounge. It was quite good. I'm proud my nails are finally looking better!

fashion passion

More pictures from last friday. We went to Greyhound Café and my boyfriend had lunch since he came straight from work. I just had a mocktail called Fashion Passion. Quite an appropriate name since the café is in a mall. It really has super nice food that isn't expensive. Today I'm studying and maybe getting an hour or so by the pool and one in the gym.

jewellery detail

A jewellery detail. Bimba & Lola bug bracelet, a Nepalese bracelet and the thin silver link is from Carré Copenhagen. The bug bracelet and silver link are favourites that I wear all the time. The Nepalese and very colourful jewellery that I have, is almost always worn with white, black or gray simple outfits.

red stiletto nails

I've been so into red or nude stiletto nails lately. Unfortunately, they are just very unhealthy for the nails and makes them thinner. And since my nails are thin by nature, it seems like a bad idea for me to get acrylic nails. Instead I'm trying to shape and grow my natural nails into the stiletto type. Actually, they have gotten a little harder and seem more difficult to crack when they are shaped like this. Just a tip. So... Right now, I'm blogging reversely and afterwards, I'll head down to the pool to study, tan and swim. In the afternoon I have dance and manicure and pedicure. I really look forward to pampering myself!
