happy easter

Image 5Image 13
Happy Easter! I'm actually just relaxing at home this weekend because I needed to take a few days off. So what I've been doing is pretty much going for long walks and tomorrow we're going to go on a small trip. Today I've baked lots of stuff too and afterwards my boyfriend picked me up to go shopping (he got three pairs of jeans and I was a little scared that he had a silent stroke or something) and when we drove home, it was snowing like crazy! It's April and I cannot tolerate snow at this point. I mean it was so warm and spring-y a couple of weeks ago and now it's cold, raining and snowing... We had dinner at my place, watched "The Killing" and ate the Pavlova I baked today. Now I'm super tired so we're going to bed.

christmas baking & a little present

Image
The Christmas Party was really fun last night! I forgot to take a picture of my outfit but then I'll just recreate it some other day... I'm on my way to my boyfriend's family's annual Christmas baking preparations and I'm bringing them this pretty little white flower. Christmas baking is really cozy but I'm not a fan of many of the products such as marzipan and dark chocolate. However, I love "knäck", which is a Swedish caramel with almond bits in it that has the shape of a petite muffin. And I also really like "lussekatter", which is more like a bun in the shape of an S with saffron inside. Anyway, tonight we're going to see Tom Ford's new movie (SO excited!) and I think it's going to be really aesthetic and a bit creepy! I'll tell you more about it later if it's worth watching!

frederiksdals christmas market

ImageImage 4Image 1Image 2
We went to Frederiksdals Christmas Market today, which sort of is a tradition in my family. I really appreciate it because it's always very cozy and pretty, there is delicious food and pretty nice things to buy. We bought sourdough bread and juniper berry must (which is pretty close to Swedish Christmas must) as always. We also walked around the farm and the country house where they have decorated the house with both new and old style Christmas decorations. Now, we're off to the neighbour's for some Christmas porridge and Swedish "glögg".

spring sunset

8 IMG_4965
This is probably the most beautiful sunset I have ever witnessed and taken a good photograph of. And you know how the iPhones usually don't really reflect all the shades from real life... Sunsets like this one are really to die for. I adore the colour palette with all the yellows, oranges and reds.

anemone season

IMG_4533IMG_4535
Anemone season is a bit early this year because southern Scandinavia has actually been surprisingly warm. When I wake up in the morning, the view is stunning because the forrest floor is literally covered with green leaves and little white flowers. I really love Anemones and that's also the kind of flower I'm named after. They are so beautiful and fragile.

turtle saviour

4 IMG_4779
Yup, that's me - the turtle saviour! While on a little relaxing evening walk I spotted this little cute turtle in a pond (where it's definitely not supposed to be) and that started a small rescue mission. I can't believe anybody would actually dump their pet turtle in a pond where it has no chance of survival whatsoever! Luckily we succeeded and the turtle is safe and sound!

harness racing in charlottenlund

IMG_3896IMG_3874IMG_3891I really enjoy going to different kinds of horse races and I've been watching harness racing several times. It's quite cozy to watch the horses trot (or gallop - even though that might be a bit too scary for me - two of the riders fell off their horses last time I watched) and bet a bit on the races if the weather is nice. And it was pretty nice today when my boyfriend and I went to watch harness racing at Lunden in Charlottenlund. I almost won all the money I played for back (I'm definitely no expert haha). Lunden celebrated their 125th birthday today so they sold some pretty delicious fish and chips. The horses were so stunning, I find horses such impressive creatures... Anyway, now we've just gotten back home and we'll start cooking dinner together soon.

snowy mornings

IMG_7668_2Woke up to this pretty winter wonderland this morning. After walking home (also known as a snowball fight with my boyfriend, which I won!). Now, I'm going to prep a dinner outfit for tonight, study a bit and wait until my Grandparents come over for some coffee, tea and cake before dinner. We're going to Gastro, which will be very exciting since they recently opened in a new place and their menu looks fantastic too!

hubertus hunt & gallop

IMG_8346IMG_8347IMG_8366IMG_8373 IMG_8370 IMG_8383I just got home from a day outside. First, we went to see the Hubertus Hunt in "Dyrehaven", near the Hermintage Hunting Lodge, where the horses jumped over different obstacles and rode through water and stuff (yeah, I'm very familiar with the Hubertus Hunt lingo...). The horses chased "foxes" too (not real foxes though but two equestrians that were representing foxes). Then we went to a gallop horse race and it was quite impressive! Everything was impressive and the horses and hunter's suits were so beautiful! It was scary too though, two of the equestrians fell off their galloping horses and the ambulance had to come and get them to the hospital. Other than that, it has been a magnificent (and surprisingly warm) day.

wildlife in dyrehaven

Today we went on a long walk in Dyrehaven where there are lots of beautiful red and fallow deer. The Hermitage Hunting Lodge was also quite pretty in the sunny and crisp autumn weather. I'm wearing a pair of new leopard tights from Sneaky Fox that matched the "wildlife" setting quite well... We just had hot chocolate with cream and chocolate muffins and now I'm going to study for a while. I love these kinds of Sundays.

hike

A picture from the hike we went on today. We had pancakes in bed and then we drove off to take a walk. I guessed we walked for about 2 hours and it's a really beautiful route; alongside a river and onto a ridge in the forest. It looks kind of fairytale-ish. Afterwards, we met a friend for coffee, he's leaving for university tomorrow so we thought we'd say goodbye. Now we're going to get some food, watch a movie and I'm going to have a mini spa evening afterwards. It has been such a cozy Wednesday!

Outfit:
Sunglasses: Tom Ford.
Top: Calvin Klein.
Tights: Lager 157.
Sneakers: Adidas Gazelle.

golden retriever puppy

Today my BFF came over for some coffee and Swedish cinnamon buns and she brought her Golden Retriever puppy, Nelson. He's indescribably adorable (as you can see)! We had coffee, talked and played with Nelson who sometimes falls asleep suddenly - even while playing. So, so, so cute! Anyway, I just followed them home, Nelson was resting in the bike basket because he can't walk very far just yet. I'm looking forward to seeing them next week. Now, I'm meeting my boyfriend to have dinner and watch Betty Blue. Have a lovely Saturday evening!

night swims with mereswines

After dinner me and my boyfriend decided to go for a night swim here in Tisvildeleje. We were joined by 4-8 of these magnificent creatures - they're called mereswines or porpoises and are small whales. Unfortunately this is an iPhone pic so the fin is a little unclear - it's the black thing in the middle of the picture. We were the only ones at the beach and it was a perfect moment.

squirrel

I've been outside tanning a lot lately and actually sort of befriended a squirrel... It might sound a bit weird. It usually joins me, when I lie in my garden and tan, to jump around nimbly and I sometimes hand it a hazelnut or a walnut. It's actually quite cozy and it's super cute!

scandinavia to asia

I'm leaving my home town today for Bangkok. I am currently in Helsinki where we'll have lunch soon and I also need to buy a book. I am already missing so many people at home but I think Bangkok will be a great adventure!

The view from the plane. I always get confused when I travel to places with time difference, so prepare for some confused blogging!

Risked our lives today when we went for lunch. It's so stormy outside!

the bay

It's beginning to look a lot like autumn. Love the colours in this picture, it would be great to have a painted version. Listen to "The Bay" by Metronomy.
