valentine's day michelin dinner

Image 3Image 2
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you're all spending it with the ones you love whether it be family, friends or your partner. I've invited my Mum for dinner tonight, which we'll definitely need after a long day of shopping and walking about. We've just picked up the food at Kokkeriet and are supposed to heat the main courses ourselves. These pics are showing the dessert which was dark chocolate and red berry puree with a chocolate egg on top with some kind of chocolate filling and berry jelly inside. Gotipster has a really clever concept where you can order food online and this time I really felt like trying Kokkeriet's Valentine's Day dinner. What better way to celebrate Valentine's day than with some Michelin food!? One of the main courses we tried was cod, mussels sauce, carrots, lemon thyme and potato puree. The other one consisted of beef, mushrooms and truffle puree with onions and red wine sauce. Everything we had was just heavenly and I deeply recommend Gotipster and Kokkeriet for some luxury takeaway!

cute but psycho

IMG_4368IMG_4379IMG_4369IMG_4381IMG_4365IMG_4383IMG_4372Here are some pics from yesterday's afternoon walk on Kastellet (and in Magasin, I accidentally bought a pair of jeans that I'll show you on sometime). It was freezing! This Burberry coat isn't too warm actually. Today I've been to school and then I had coffee and cheesecake at Mocca with my Mum. I'm really excited about tomorrow because we're getting a Valentine's Dinner from Kokkeriet. I'll perhaps also get my Kartell chairs and I'm definitely getting my new Smeg fridge and stove later this week! So many exciting things are happening this week and I'm also seeing some friends  but I've got to stay focused too because I have an exam on Tuesday next week...

P.S. I also have a blog surprise that I'll tell you about soon!

inspiration # 68

FullSizeRender-1FullSizeRender-3FullSizeRender-2FullSizeRender
Today my Mum and I followed my little sister to the airport. She's going to Bangkok for four months! I'm really going to miss her. And I'm a little jelly of all the fun and luxe things she's going to do! And the climate! I could really use some tropical vibes right about now. Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy! I think it'll have to wait until summer. Perhaps it's time to start prepping for the beach 2017...

polished look

IMG_5918
It's finally weekend! Not that I have the toughest schedule right now but I definitely look forward to spending my time off with my family. My sister is, as I've said, going back to Bangkok on Sunday... It'll be really sad but she'll have lots of fun. Anyway, this is what I look like today. I hate having my hair out when I have to wear a coat so I usually opt for this slightly more polished look with my hair in a low and sleek ponytail and some no makeup makeup. My preferred look unless I'm going out... Anyway, I'm off to school now.

nyhavn copenhagen

IMG_5855
One of the things I adore about living in the heart of Copenhagen, is that I can pop out whenever I please and enjoy the atmosphere. Like this other day when it was snowing a lot, I had to get out and get a good insta pic. What do you think? It's not the typical colourful Nyhavn picture but I really think it looks beautiful. Anyway, I've been to work today so I'm officially the sleepiest human on the planet. I have school tomorrow and I'm going to spend the weekend with my Mum and sister because my sweet little sister is leaving for Bangkok on Sunday, which is really sad. I'm going to miss her tons (and be a little bit jealous of all the fun things she'll be doing) but she will have so much fun!

nabo copenhagen

IMG_5667IMG_5665IMG_5662IMG_5666IMG_5663Here are some food pics from the weekend! We had dinner at Nabo, which is Kadeau's little brother. We've been fans of Kadeau ever since my sister and I had our "confirmation" at Kadeau Bornholm. We had some dehydrated carrots and some kind of soya and octopus tea that I cannot recall the name of. Then I had fried cod roe, then cod and I had a blood orange dish for dessert. Unfortunately, it had some fermented blood orange juice on it that really had a quite harsh taste. Other than that, everything was good. They also have a Monday food concept where I think they have a sort of buffet. Definitely going to try that out someday. Now I'm going to sleep because I have work early in the morning. Over and out.

P.S. My dress is from Boohoo.

pink textures

IMG_5653IMG_5654IMG_5655I just got out of the shower after deciding to go for a run combined with cryotherapy. Just kidding, but Copenhagen really is terribly cold! I miss wearing pretty outfits, when it's this cold all I do is hide in my big winter jacket... I'd love to wear these thigh high boots without tights and out for drinks on a warm summer night... Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy! I really can't wait until it gets warmer. It makes dressing is so much easier. For outfit details, please see below.

play commes des garçons

IMG_4271IMG_4267IMG_4265
I know you've seen this shirt in a selfie before but I took the pictures a while ago and forgot to post them. And I think they're quite pretty! Obviously, the shirt is Play by Commes des Garcons and I got it in Dover Street Market in London (a super cool store with cool brands and super high end brands and oddly dressed staff). I actually regretted not getting the yellow and white striped t-shirt last time, so when they had one left in stock I just had to get it... It's a classic and quite basic piece in any Copenhageners wardrobe. And I like that mine is a colour I normally wouldn't get. It's really pretty with white jeans, shorts of a white fluffy skirt. Can't wait until summer!

japanomania

IMG_5741I've had my Mum and sister over this weekend, which has been really cozy. Today we had a lovely breakfast from "Det Rene Brød", which is an organic bakery not too far from where I live. Then went shopping at a local pop up where they sold diamond light bulbs and Frama lamps. I bought some for my apartment as I'm still lacking some lamps. Then we went to the National Gallery of Denmark to see an exhibition called "Japanomania". It was all right. I dressed a little Japanese as you can see. Then we visited West Market that opened not to long ago in Vesterbro. If you pass by it and feel hungry you should definitely go inside as there are lots of stalls offering food for practically any taste. Then we had coffee at our cousin's place, which was also lovely. Now I'm blogging a bit I'm going to shower and change into my pyjamas so I can study a bit more before Monday. I hope you've had a fabulous weekend - mine has definitely been great with lots of good food and company but it has been quite busy too.

restaurant koefoed

Image 1Image 2Image
Hey pretty followers! I've been busy this weekend because my family has been here but tonight my blog will perfectly up to date. We had lunch with my Grandparents at Restaurant Koefoed, which is a Danish (Bornholmian?) restaurant serving classic "smørrebrød" with a modern twist. The food we had was so delicious! I had the first and third dish. The first one was avocado, Rossini caviar and crab meat (which is probably my fave shellfish). The second picture was a herring fried in salt with lots of beetroot (I tasted it and it was amazing) and the third picture is of tartlets with lobster and poor man's asparagus. Definitely a lovely place to go for Sunday lunch. The ice tea (I'm an ice tea addict - if I could live off of ice tea and popcorn I would) was really good too and the Bornholmian "honningsyp" was good too even though I'm not the biggest fan of schnapps. I hope you've had a great Saturday.

pisco sour week at helium

IMG_5668
We just got home and it's pretty late but I thought I'd just drop a post before going to bed. We had dinner at Nabo today, which was good but I'll post about that later. Perhaps next week because I think you've seen quite a lot of food pics on my blog this week. Anyway, after dinner we tried out a cocktail bar called Helium. It's located on Bredgade and the interior was pretty dark, mystic and cozy. It was apparently pisco sour week and since we really like pisco sours (throwing us back to Mallorca last summer where I had some piscos at Patron Lunares). So yummy! I love the foam on top and the sourness of the cocktail. The ones at Helium were decorated beautifully too. It's definitely a place I'll go back to with some girlfriends or my boyfriend another time but now I'm off to bed. Night.

red roses & pink sweatshirt

Image 2ImageI just got back from running a bunch of errands. I'll just tell you how my day went from the beginning. I studied all morning and a bit of the afternoon (Blackburn and Hume etc.) and then my little sister arrived and dropped off some stuff. Then I went to look at more home appliances (and I'm finally ready to order the things I want) and then I passed by Carré to see if they have a pendant that I really wanted. Unfortunately, they didn't so my boyfriend ordered it online. Now I'm blogging (surprise surprise) and soon I'll prep to go out to dinner in Kødbyen. For outfit details, se below as usual. By the way, I have some stuff planned the next couple of days which means that I will probably have some nice outfit and food pics to show you!

Sweater: Club Petanque.

kokkeriet part 2

Image 7Image 4Image 5Image 13Image 15Image 14Image 11Image 8Image 9
And here's Part 2! The 1st picture (from the top) is of a test dish we had with a fried ball of crab meat (I think?), the 2nd course was langoustine, kale and Skagen ham, the 3rd one was Jerusalem artichoke, beetroot and truffle , then we moved on to a modern take on a traditional Danish food called "hens and asparagus in tartlets". It consisted of a quail, fermented garlic and an octopus tartlet and was surprisingly good even though I dislike both main ingredients. Everything is better in fancy restaurants... The 4th dish was venison, plums and a bitter chocolate sauce that was quite interesting. Then we had our 5th course with lamb ravioli that was also surprisingly good - perhaps a bit too intense lamb taste for my taste. Then we moved over to the desserts where we had: 1st course was cucumber, white chocolate and mint. The 2nd dessert (boy, do I love that combination of words) was lemon, caramel and sorrel sorbet with liquorice meringue on top and the 3rd dessert consisted of caramel, snow and a sorbet. Everything was really good and we were so full when we left! I was actually quite afraid that my boyfriend wouldn't be full at all after the meal. Luckily, that wasn't the case. They also served whipped butter (yum) and a bread that was out of this world. How come restaurant bread is so much better than regular bread that you bake yourself? Anyway, I highly recommend Kokkeriet if you wish to try Danish and "new nordic" cuisine at a restaurant with a  Michelin star.

kokkeriet part 1

IMG_5430IMG_5431IMG_5432IMG_5433IMG_5434IMG_5435IMG_5436Image 10Image 6
Here are some of the dishes we had at Kokkeriet last night. It truly was a magical evening and I actually liked everything that we had. Usually that's rather tricky because I dislike poultry, lamb and all innards... Anyway, the interior was beautiful, the service was good and the food was superb. Here's what he had (from above). The 1st snack was crispy onions, smoked cheese and löjrom, 2nd snack was cod and beetroot, 3rd was a modern take on the classis Danish hen salad, 4th was cured beef, crispy potato and pickled cucumber and the 5th was a liquid Waldorf salad. Then we had an amuse bouche consisting of crab, cabbage and chamomile. Then we had our first test dish consisting of lumpfish roe and some other things that I unfortunately do not recall. Then we had our 1st dish consisting of scallop, pear and verbena and the 2nd one consisting of pike-perch, yellow peas and pine. These two last dishes were definitely my favourites of all the starters! The roe dishes were also phenomenal. Well, I'm a huge seafood fan so I was really happy with the amount of fish and shellfish! The next courses are coming up when I've written the menu in the post.
