saatchi gallery

IMG_9074 IMG_9079 IMG_9089IMG_9107 IMG_9091 IMG_9105 IMG_9117I'm going to my sister's band's concert tonight, which I look very much forward to! Anyway, I visited Saatchi Gallery in London, for the first time actually. They had lots of modern art - I find some of it cool and pretty - and some of it really weird... The art things pics I've posted above are of the things I find pretty. The big fur ball encapsulated in glass scared the h*** out of me because the fur inside it moved suddenly... Saatchi also had a rather nice and touching photo exhibition that I recommend.

london in december compilation II

IMG_6714 IMG_6797 IMG_6807 IMG_9048Here's the second and last compilation from London (not the last post though). I've had so many Christmas lattes at Starbucks this past week  and I particularly like the one with Toffee Nut Latte. The second picture is a very christmassy Harrods in the evening, then, a pumpkin soup at  the Gallery at Sketch and Chanel in Bond Street's classy white Christmas Camellias. Today, I've mainly unpacked and cleaned my room. I love unpacking the bag when I get home from a trip and place all my new ins in the right places (preferably the walk-in-closet...).

dior window & sketch outfit

IMG_8935 IMG_8934 IMG_8932Me in my Sketch outfit beside the Dior windows. I'm wearing the black Copenhagen Luxe lace dress that I also wore in St. Tropez. It's really nice (remember that I got it in a nude colour too?). I've also got my new Zadig & Voltaire clutch and Notabene boots. We're flying home in a bit!

sunny december sightseeing

IMG_9140 IMG_9155 IMG_9162 IMG_9170IMG_9151 IMG_9194IMG_9184Another compilation. Here are the things that we saw when sightseeing a bit the last day here in London. I've been to London so many times but it feels sort of mandatory to go back and see some of the landmarks again. The only big  landmark that I don't think I've seen is Tower... I really have to go there some day but shopping is always so time consuming! Anyway, from above: Buckingham Palace, pink Pelicans in Buckingham Palace Gardens, Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace Gardens and the Christmas decorations on Regent Street. The area around Regent Street and Bond Street definitely is THE place to shop in London. The last picture is just the Union Jack and some pretty buildings. We're going home today but I still have lots to post!

london in december compilation I

IMG_9046IMG_6786 IMG_6840 IMG_9042 Here's a random compilation of pictures from our walks around London... Flowers for sale at Liberty, me with my new Zadig & Voltaire clutch on the escalator in Harrods, Fendi's Christmas window and a picture of my winter attire. It isn't actually cold here in London, which is quite surprising. My boyfriend and I even had breakfast outside Pret A Manger the other day!

burberry breakfast

IMG_6875IMG_6902 IMG_6898 IMG_6909 IMG_6911Burberry Breakfast! We started the day with breakfast at the Thomas's at Burberry restaurant on Regent Street before doing some shopping in the Burberry store right next door. The breakfast was delicious and very inexpensive, I must say. I had the seasonal fruit salad with Brown Cow yoghurt and homemade granola as well as a cup of white Nepalese tea. My boyfriend had an orange juice and pancakes with rhubarb compote. Definitely going back next time I'm in London - maybe I'll have the lobster and french fries then. Sounds like a perfect combination!

natural history museum

IMG_8988IMG_9024 IMG_9018 IMG_9004IMG_9021IMG_9002 IMG_9027 IMG_9037We started the day at the Natural History Museum here in London. I've been here one time, when I was younger but I still think it's quite interesting to go. It's a very pretty museum. Afterwards, our day continued in the shopping area around Bond Street and Regent Street. I'm buying all my Christmas presents here and I just noticed a particular shopping bag in one of the outfit pictures. Sorry guys but I can't post that just yet.

sketch gallery

IMG_8962IMG_8976 IMG_8947 IMG_8978IMG_8955 IMG_8980The first evening here in London we had dinner at Sketch after some shopping in Harrods where I bought a Zadig & Voltaire clutch but more about that later... Sketch is a very cool pale pink restaurant that has a prominent Wes Anderson vibe and lots of weird and slightly creepy art (sketches) by David Shringley covering the walls. I particularly liked the Christmas decorations (the tree with small Christmas trees growing from it) and the floor. The food was nice too, rather unexpected I would say.

Outfit:
Earrings: Terminal 21.
Dress: Copenhagen Luxe.
Watch: Burberry.
Clutch: Zadig & Voltaire.
Heels: Notabene.

fluorescent adolescent

IMG_6768 IMG_6762 IMG_6761The last night here in Oxford, we went to a cocktail bar that literally was around the corner. It's called "Be At One" and they actually had quite fancy cocktails and lovely cocktail menu with nice pictures of all the cocktails (not in a tacky way). I like when you can see if the cocktail looks (Instagram) good before you decide to order it. Some cocktails really are served in an Instagram unworthy manner - but not these ones... I had a delicious passionfruit one. You know you're in England when they start to play Arctic Monkeys in a club... Apropos Arctic Monkeys, do you like fishnets? Better outfit pics are coming up... Stay tuned for our adventures in London too!

red & white at queen's

IMG_8907IMG_8877IMG_8861IMG_8894 IMG_8891Another cozy day here in Oxford! Today we had a peaceful sleepy morning and then we went to Pret A Manger to have brunch. Afterwards I bought some Christmas presents, took these pics at The Queen's College and watched my boyfriend's floorball game. We've just gotten back from dinner and now we'll relax in the room for a while before going downstairs to a cocktail bar. I remembered to write out the brands of my white outfit today, see below.
P.S. I completely forgot to take pictures at Bicester Outlet Village yesterday. I guess it was the clearance craze... I unfortunately didn't get anything though, the things I wanted were either completely out of stock or out of stock in my particular size... I would have loved a white Burberry shirt... Anyway, I got my boyfriend a Christmas present and I'll definitely go there again. I was just unlucky yesterday.

Outfit:
Makeup: Yves Saint Laurent.
Shirt: Odd Molly.
Jewellery: Balenciaga & Carré.
Watch: Burberry.
Jeans: Dr. Denim Jeansmakers.
Chelsea Boots: Wonders.
