post party tanning time

Yesterday was my little sister's graduation party, which was lots of fun but rather stressful. We had 60 guests at our house, so I barely had the chance to talk to everyone. I spoke to some old friends that I've kind of lost contact with though, so that was fun. I woke up rather early today even though I'm pretty sleepy and had brunch. Then I helped out cleaning the house and garden after yesterday's festivities and right now I'm tanning by the pool and studying some Health Psychology, which basically what I'll do the rest of the day.

graduation party prep

Today it's my little sisters graduation party and things are pretty hectic at home. We've been decorating all morning and noon and I was in charge of balloons and flowers and soon we're going to go get the food (there were lots more than in this little tent - we had 4 different tents plus decorations indoor). We're having 60 guests tonight so we've ordered catering from K Gränd. I can't wait until the guests have arrived and things will cool down so I can relax with a glass of Palmer Champagne and enjoy the evening...

bantorget 9

Here are the pictures from our dinner at Bantorget 9 yesterday. We had four courses and a little appetizer, which was little shrimps and a green fennel cream. Then we had lumpfish roe, potatoes and fried onions and that was probably my favourite course. I love lumpfish roe. Then we had bass tartare with lemon emulsion, lard and nettles. Our main course consisted of barbecued pig and a sauce of buckthorn and the dessert was ice cream, rhubarb, nitrogen frozen rose hip and baked white chocolate. The dessert and the roe were my absolute favourites. Bantorget 9 is a really cozy place too, we were seated on the 2nd level where we pretty much had it all to ourselves.

Pics from my little sister's graduation day! We all headed to Lund to celebrate her outside of her school, check her in at Grand Hotel and then we went for pre dinner cocktails at Bantorget 9, which is a super cozy place where we also had dinner (more about that later). I'm wearing my beloved Dior So Real sunglasses, a beige lace dress that I got last autumn in Copenhagen Luxe at Strandvejen, new birthday gift sandals from Naf Naf (it's pretty much impossible to wear heels in Lund as there are cobblestones everywhere) and of course YSL makeup. It's really summer-y in Scandinavia already!

ysl fusion ink cushion foundation

I got this gorgeous foundation today! I've been looking so much forward to receiving it because it's not even available yet - only in Asia. My Father got home today and he brought me this (plus my fave Tarte mascara but I've probably taken pictures of that before). Before, I was using the regular YSL ink foundation, which is basically my holy grail foundation. It has buildable coverage - I'd say medium with one layer and it's matte. I'm not a fan of the "dewy look" because it really makes you look sweaty in all flash images. This reinvention of the fusion ink foundation in a little cushion box (which is also fabulous) is super practical as I can refresh without getting my hands dirty (and my face). It's still the same foundation but in prettier and more practical packaging. I highly recommend it and I'm definitely getting more of these babies when I'm hitting Bangkok this summer. It's launching in Europe stores in September (and I couldn't possibly wait for that to happen). Can't wait to hit the YSL beauty flagship store in EmQuartier!

grand hotel breakfast

Well, this was a Grand Hotel Breakfast - literally. We woke up and went down for breakfast. We had all this delicious food plus a waffle... I'm so full! We're back in the wonderful room right now and I'm pretty much done packing. Soon I'm heading back to Copenhagen for school and work. I'm working the next couple of days but then there's my sister's graduation party and dinner, which I'm really excited about! Can't wait until the weekend!

grand hotel lund & prom prepping

Just checked in at Grand Hotel in Lund where I'm going to stay with my little sister. It's her prom tonight and I just couldn't miss out on a little everyday luxury. Soon off to take pictures of her and her friends and then I'll have dinner somewhere with my Mum. Right now we're fixing some minor details regarding my sister's look and we're also having some celebratory champagne!

alabama social & sunday

I just woke up because I got a text from work and I'm going to work later this afternoon. Here's a picture from last Friday when I had lunch at Alabama Social with two girlfriends from the University. It was the first time I tried Alabama Social and their menu was sort of destined for me because I would've liked almost all dishes. Anyway, I finally chose the shrimp sandwich, French fries, Pellegrino and a glass of champagne. I've got to get dressed now and then I'll probably go for a morning walk before it gets too hot outside.

hamburger day at garage

It's the international Hamburger Day today and we had actually accidentally planned to have dinner at Garage in Höganäs where a California Cheeseburger is most definitely a must! We also had milkshakes and fries. Everything was as delicious as usual. Garage is my absolute favourite burger place. We've been out and about all day but more about all that later. I'm also wearing my new tee from Brandy Melville, that I got from my sister yesterday. I didn't get it while I had the chance almost two years ago and I've regretted it ever since, so I'm really happy that it's finally mine! I'm probably wearing all the red accessories I own in these pictures plus a new necklace that I already adore. It's golden, shaped like a crescent moon and from Prag.

birhtday presents & palmer champagne

We started off our birthday weekend with some Palmer & Co. champagne and gift unwrapping. I got so many gorgeous things! Thank you! I'll show them to you later. Today I unpacked lots of different stuff, cleaned my room and relaxed a little bit. It feels like months since I last actually relaxed ! So I think I really deserved it. Tomorrow we're going on a small trip to have some delicious food and on Sunday I'll probably go to work.

birthday dinner in rungsted harbour

My sweet Grandparents took me out for dinner on my birthday today. We had dinner at the restaurant No. 22 in Rungsted Harbour and the food was lovely. We had moules as a shared starter, then I had plaice and we finished off with a soft ice. It was really good and cozy and the weather was really nice too, luckily!

Happy Birthday Sweet Little Sister! I'm so sorry I can't be with you on your birthday (I'm working). But I really look forward to our combined birthday weekend and I can't wait to give you your birthday presents! Love you and miss you!

inspiration # 60

I have so much to look forward to so that's what I'm day dreaming about these sort of tough and stressful days where I have tons of work to do. It'll be my sister's birthday tomorrow, my birthday the day after (it's weird that our birthdays are right next to each other even though she's two years younger than me - I know) and then there's her graduation celebrations. After that I have a couple of more exams and then I'm travelling to Bangkok with my sweet little sister and BFF, then my sister and I are going on a surprise trip with my Dad, then my boyfriend's coming to Bangkok and then I'll probably travel to Palma with my family. It's going to be busy but wonderful. I love the feeling of freedom that summer entails! I'll probably also try to squeeze in a little trip to Bornholm and Tisvildeleje.

soft ice in rungsted harbour

Mum and I stopped by Rungsted Harbour the other day after going wine shopping in Irma. This is probably the most Danish ice cream you can eat: soft ice with cacao topping and "guf" (which is like strawberry flavoured marshmallow fluff). I always have it in Tisvildeleje and on Bornholm every summer and for me, it's the epitome of Danish summer.

I don't think I ever showed you this outfit in colour. Here I am in front of Buckingham Palace during the golden hour. We were walking back from Regent Street to Victoria Station and passed by the palace, which looked quite amazing in this light.

blomsterbergs brunch

Before fetching my bike and watching "The Day Will Come", Mum and I had brunch at Blomsterbergs Café in Lyngby. It's so cozy catching up with my Mum since we're not really seeing each other every day anymore. I really love spending quality time with my family. The brunch was delicious and super fresh and filling. It really looks as amazing as it was!

I got this black Velorbis bike a bit ahead of my birthday because I need it to bike for work! I am indescribably happy for it! It's lovely to ride and it is such a gorgeous retro bike. Thanks Mum, I already adore it and I can't wait until I can ride it around in Copenhagen! The basket is just so perfect with a large bouquet of freshly cut flowers in it. I'm also wearing my new Dior So Real sunglasses that I am still a bit afraid to use because I'm working so much and I really want to handle them with tremendous care...

k gränd catering meeting

I joined my Mum for lunch and a catering meeting at K Gränd today. That's where we're getting the food for my sister's graduation party in the beginning of next month, which is actually not too far off! And it's my birthday soon too! Time really is flying and I'm spending pretty much all of my time studying, working or sleeping...
