nikki beach saint tropez

IMG_3637IMG_3649IMG_3647IMG_3635We went to St. Tropex today! Yay! I had lunch with my boyfriend and his sister in Nikki Beach and then we went to the beach. In Nikki Beach I had a shellfish salad and a very strong passionfruit daiquiri. I prefer swimming in the oceans to chilling at the pool - particularly here in Europe where I don't have to worry about box jellyfishes (and big sharks). The pool at Nikki Beach was quite small t The waves were huge but it wasn't even windy, so that was weird (must be all the yachts and speedboats). My boyfriend's sister and I actually sort of got stuck in the sea because of the currents so my boyfriend had to swim out and get us. Later today, we went to St. Tropez to have coffee at the Cavalli Café, do some shopping and have dinner. I'm hoping for moules marinieres!

vacay mornings

IMG_3617
I woke up rather early this morning, jumped in my bikini, grabbed my Oscar Wilde book and sat in the sun for a while. Oscar Wilde is one of my two favourite authors (the other one is Bret Easton Ellis). They are quite different but I really enjoy reading both of them. I've unfortunately already read all of Bret Easton Ellis's books but luckily I still have a few of Wilde's left. I'm tan goals soon, by the way. Love quiet mornings when I can soak up the sun and disappear in a book.

vence

IMG_3347IMG_3303IMG_3351
Today we went to a restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's grandmother's birthday and that was nice. I had lots of chévre and red wine. We were in the centre of Vence, which is a super cozy city that I'd like to explore some more. It's quite beautiful as you can see. I'm wearing a dress from Copenhagen Luxe (I have one in black too that I wore last year in St. Tropez if you remember that picture), sunnies from Tom Ford and espadrilles from Ilse Jacobsen.

vence infinity pool

IMG_3518IMG_3459
Days in the pool with this view is pretty nice. We're really lucky with the weather and lazy days by the pool is one of the luxuries I live for. So I've been relaxing in my bikini most of the day, tanning with my boyfriend, I took a nap too and soon I'm going to fix my nails (which is difficult with the glittery nail polishes), take a shower and apply some moisturiser to keep my skin hydrated after all the tanning.

cannes love

IMG_3284IMG_3276IMG_3285My boyfriend drove me to Cannes today, which was a great opportunity to take a selfie (or lots) too. I'm wearing YSL lipstick in the colour "coral extreme". It really is one of my fave cities here in the south of France because it's quite small, very fancy and really cozy too. I almost always wear this outfit when in France during the summer because I really think it's very French and maritime (I just need a yacht to go with it!). We went shopping in Galeries Lafayette, Kenzo, The Kooples, Sandro, Maje, Ladurée and a bunch of other places. I just got some tea in Ladurée and some mattifying powder from YSL in Sephora. Then we walked along Promenade de la Croisette and watched the very full beaches and had huge expensive ice creams that were actually worth the money. Then we drove back to the villa and went grocery shopping (I was lucky enough to find ini cans of Lipton Ice Tea and some Pan di Stelle cookies that I'm addicted to too). So it has been a very fun but hot day in beautiful Cannes. See outfit details below.

vence views

IMG_3169
And we're here! Arrived at the villa in Vence and the pool looks fresh (it's a lot more transparent than in this particular picture) and the views over Vence is amazing! Today, we've basically just been relaxing and tanning by the pool. I'm quite happy tanning down here because the weather in Scandinavia can't really be trusted. I think we're going to go to Cannes, Nice, Vence and St. Tropez during the course of the next week.

nice bound

IMG_3717
And we're off to Nice! Can't wait to spend some days in the sun of southern France. This pic is actually from France (the Cavalli Café in St. Tropez) but since I'm blogging backwards a bit, I figured I'd better post something. Writing this, I really miss my gorgeous long stiletto nails perfected with my YSL "nuit blanche" nail polish. Such a gorgeous combo - but more pics of this particular outfits (and many more) are coming up! Stay tuned!

côte d'azur vibes

IMG_3238IMG_3193
Tomorrow I'm heading to Côte d'Azur with my boyfriend and his family. I really, really adore Côte d'Azur - it's such a fabulous and magical vacay destionation! I've done lots of fun stuff these days back home in Scandinavia, such as going to visit my Grandparents, meeting friends and going to museums and hang out with my Mum. But now it's time for the next summer vacation! And the next round of packing...

shellfish heaven

Image 42
My grandparents (aka shellfish experts) made this heavenly dinner for the last night we're staying in Tisvildeleje this year. In my top three shellfish foods, crab claws definitely has a high position because the crab meat is beautifully white and quite light in taste. I also really like shrimps and Norway lobster... Well, well, I'm pretty much in heaven here, so I'm probably going to eat a lot tonight. Today we went to the ocean for a quick swim and some soft ice with cocoa topping and raspberry foam (guf in Danish) and other than that, I've just been busy working on my tan.

tisvildeleje lifestyle

Image 44
I just arrived in Tisvildeleje and met my little sister. We're spending a couple of days here in my Grandparents summer house. I really adore summer life in the Danish Riviera - lots of ice cream, swimming in the sea, tanning at the beach or in the garden, shopping in cute little boutiques, cozy company and really, really good food with shellfish and stuff. I think we're having shellfish dinner tomorrow night, which in my opinion, is the best thing anyone could ever eat. This snap is from one of the cute little interior boutiques that my sister and I passed by on our way to the beach.

indochine vibes

Image 4Image 15Image 5Image 8Image 11Image 6
I have so many pictures from Vietnam and the Maldives that I'd still like to post so now I'm posting a little sightseeing compilation from Vietnam. We went to see the post office (yellow building), the Vietnamese Notre Dame church and the Ho Chi Minh city hall. It was raining quite a lot during our trip but that just added to the coziness.

kgränd lunch

Image 1
I had lunch at Kgränd with my Mum today back in Helsingborg. I'm very happy to be home after travelling for such a long time but I'm leaving for the south of France very soon! And I'll probably spend a couple of days in Tisvildeleje at my Grandparent's place before that too. These days, what I do is basically unpacking my bag, fixing little things, meeting friends and tanning a lot. Perfect summer days!

just hold on we're going home

Image 40And today we're off to Copenhagen! It's been bliss being in Bangkok with my BFF, sweet little sister, Dad and boyfriend! It has really been five weeks filled with lots of mischief and fun in Bangkok and some trips abroad to the Maldives and Vietnam too! I have experienced so many new things abroad and I can never really get enough of Bangkok. I kind of miss the days when I lived here because no matter what day of the week it is, there are always people out having dinner, cocktails or partying, which is probably my favourite part of Bangkok! But since most people have gone home now, I've definitely started to miss them so I'm happy that I'm going back home to see them! My boyfriend and I have been a couple for 2,5 years today which is quite incredible! Happy anniversary Skat!

busy bangkok day

Image 38Image 37
It has been the busiest day of the year (I've totally forgotten what it's like to study haha)! I started with getting eyelash extensions which took about two hours (I get 80 lashes on each upper lid and about 15 on each lower), so it takes some time! Then my boyfriend picked me up and we went shopping and to the Jim Thompson House, which was gorgeous but as we didn't have that much time we had to go with the French tour (which meant that I only understood about 20% of everything the guide said) and then we had to rush on to the spa! First, I used to Onsen spa, which really is a treat! Unfortunately my boyfriend and I couldn't use them together since genders are separated... However, we got a hot oil massage together afterwards as well as the herbal compress. It was the first time my boyfriend went to the spa so he was rather excited. Then we went to dinner at ISAO (I just had to have dinner at my favourite sushi place in Bangkok one more time) and then we went for a drink at Moon Bar (which was so full of annoying tourists who didn't get (nor care) about the queue system...). I had the one their bartender won some competition with, I don't remember the name of it but it's the one with the giant pineapple slice.

red nail love

Image 36
I had my nails done first thing now that I'm back in Bangkok - they really need to look good for the weekend! I really love the red colour on them and they have gotten so long now! Afterwards, my boyfriend and I met at EmQuartier to go and have lunch at Greyhound. We both ordered the usual - coke and humongous grilled ham and cheese toasts. So delicious. I really love this place because you always get a bag hanger too, which is so fresh and so Asian. Love luxury. Anyway, I got lots of fresh YSL makeup items for fall and a fabulous tight knitted dress that I've been in love with forever! I really can't wait to get back to Scandinavia so I can wear it!

l'usine ho chi minh

Image 16Image 20Image 17Image 18
Today we're heading back home to Bangkok! Ho Chi Minh has been so much fun! Usually, I don't really go sightseeing in Bangkok because I've done all of that one of the first times I went to Bangkok, so I only do it when I have friends or family visiting that wants to see something. But here, we've been touristing a lot - and looked like real tourists with straw hats and everything! Ho Chi Minh is a lot less well developed than Bangkok (naturally) but it is a lot more raw and real. It has been nice to see all the semi-dirty streets, the endless current of motorbikes and the fresh markets with all kinds of greens a vegan could imagine. So much fun! We also found this gem called L'Usine close to our hotel and it has the best passionfruit smoothie ever! It really has a colonial feeling to it that I quite like.

the deck saigon

Image 30Image 12Image 29My beloved boyfriend and I had our final Ho Chi Minh dinner at The Deck in Saigon, which is quite fancy. It's a bit like Ce La Vi (used to be Ku De Ta), which really is one of my favourite places - particularly the ones in Singapore and Bali! So cool - I love the concept of delicious fusion Asian dining in cool setting and with a casual vibe and to die for cocktails! Anyway, The Deck in Saigon had the perfect setting with a gorgeous view over the peaceful (particularly compared to the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok!) Saigon River. There were practically no boats, just big heaps of some kind og mangrove plants flowing by. It really is the perfect place for a romantic dinner - or (I believe) for partying in the weekends with the hip and rich from Ho Chi Minh.

mountain retreat ho chi minh

Image 3
We had dinner at a wonderful restaurant today. It was sort of a sky bar restaurant but the building was nowhere near as tall as the Bangkok ones... You also had to climb a flight of stairs in an apartment building and the restaurant was really well hidden. On top it was like a small oasis with rustic wooden furniture and lots of plants everywhere. We had lots of spring rolls, rice, morning glory, pomelo and shrimp salad and lots of other stuff. I'll definitely go to Mountain Retreat again when I go to Ho Chi Minh next time...

vietnam bound

Image 2
Today I'm heading to Vietnam with my boyfriend and I'm super excited because I've never been there. We're going to Ho Chi Minh and I really look forward to some touristing, genuine shopping and Vietnamese food!

isao love

IMG_9528IMG_9529
My Dad and sister are heading home today! It's actually quite sad because it means that summer is almost over. Well, not really though. So today I've mostly been packing for Ho Chi Minh tomorrow and then we fetched some sushi from ISAO.
