stockholm snaps & shellfish

Two pics from Stockholm. One is from Humlegården after my meeting and one is from the first dinner. I had both smoked and boiled shrimps, king crab and an oyster. Today I had brunch with some family members and friends who stayed over from yesterday's celebrations but I forgot to take pictures from that and also the cocktails last night. Too bad!

super sweet 18

Today we held quite a party for my dear little sister where both family and friends attended. We began the day with Rosé Impérial by Moët & Chandon and our classic raspberry/chocolate/meringue cake in the garden (you can see it if you scroll down a bit). Then we went to Pålsjö Matbar to have dinner. It has a gorgeous location and view, as you can see! We had delicious whitefish roe with two kinds of asparagus and truffle cream as a starter. Then we moved on to veal, goat cheese and beetroot as our main and for dessert we had milk chocolate sorbet and strawberries. It was all very scrumptious and rather successful. Afterwards the guests had cocktails at the house to celebrate me having turned 20 as well and then I went out with my gorgeous sister. It has been a fabulous Saturday!

operakällarens matsal

My Dad and I had dinner at Operakällarens Matsal today - it has been a week of birthday celebrations and I've had shellfish every day so far! Operakällaren is very cool, it looks quite modern from the outside but inside it's gorgeous and old-fashioned. Fine dining pictures are coming up after the birhtday celebrations this weekend. Today we're flying home from Stockholm and I also did some last minute shopping in Brandy Melville.

After a lovely and very exciting meeting I met my Dad for a latte macchiato and we shared a giant cinnamon roll at Café Saturnus in Stockholm. In the picture with just the coffees, it looks pretty normal in size but with me behind it - it looks a lot bigger...! Afterwards, I strolled about Birger Jarlsgatan and tomorrow before noon, I'll probably do some shopping. I found a pair of white denim shorts and a couple of tops that I'm quite fond of. Anyway, I have exciting blog news coming up! Stay tuned!

paolo's latte macchiato & tiramisu

 My boyfriend invited me for latte macchiato and tiramisu yesterday (for my birthday) at newly opened Paolo's, which was very cozy. The coffee was good but the tiramisu tasted slightly of almond liquor/marzipan (which are not my favourite tastes) so the next time I go there, I'll try out their food and Fiat chocolates. But it was very cozy anyway!

birthday cakes & candles

Here are our two birthday cakes (we have a traditional one that we make every year) that consist of chocolate, meringue and whipped cream with raspberries. To accompany the cake we also had champagne and there were 18 and 20 candles in each cake. Tomorrow I'm heading for Stockholm! Lots of pics are coming up...

birthday dinner at château forêt

We had birthday dinner at Château Forêt, which was super delicious! I really recommend going there and it is absolutely not the last time I have dinner at this super cozy place! We had the following things for starters: butter flavoured popcorn (OMG - every restaurant should have that as a snack!), olives, ham and truffle and parmesan dumplings. I ordered the moules frites as a main course and I had a glass of splendid champagne to go with it. Afterwards we went home to eat cake as our dessert. It has truly been such a lovely birthday even though I've been having a faint 20 year crisis...

Well... Happy birthday to me! As you might know, today is my 20th birthday! I had breakfast in bed, presents, went for a walk, met my boyfriend for coffee and presents, went home for a while, went to see my sister get her piano diploma, dinner at Château Forêt and last but not least; cake and even more presents. I had so many gorgeous presents today! I got this beautiful golden citrine bracelet from my boyfriend before we went for coffee and I got the über stylish hat from my sister. It's been such a fabulous day! Thank you!

sister's super sweet 18

Happy Birthday!

Today my sweet little sister turns 18! We celebrated with Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial champagne and a couple of presents right after midnight, brought her breakfast (and presents) in bed and tonight we're having her favourite food (and probably more presents). Next weekend there are birthday celebrations for both her and me and tomorrow's my birthday! And Wednesday, I'm flying to Stockholm for a couple of days. It's going to be a super busy week so I apologize in advance if I can't blog every day.

There's no better way to end this week and prep for the next busy one than a bath! I used the "So White" Lush bath bomb but it turned out to be quite pink after all. I also enjoyed a Rosé Prosecco. I'm currently blogging and waiting for Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial champagne because my sister turns 18 in a little more than an hour! Congratulations and cheers!

aarstiderne vegetables

My Mum and I went shopping for food and beverages this Saturday because next week is such a busy one with both me and my sister's birthdays! We passed by Aarstiderne's farm in Humlebæk where they produce and sell lots of ecological food and it looked absolutely delicious!

Mum and I pampered ourselves and had lunch at Vera's Deli in Råå today. We shared one shrimp sandwich and one antipasto and they were both delicious - as usual. I also had a glass of rosé wine and I was casually dressed in caramel colours, dark blue denim and a white shirt.

I've been outside tanning a lot lately and actually sort of befriended a squirrel... It might sound a bit weird. It usually joins me, when I lie in my garden and tan, to jump around nimbly and I sometimes hand it a hazelnut or a walnut. It's actually quite cozy and it's super cute!

Today my boyfriend and I went to Malmoe to fix some practical stuff. Afterwards we had Kusmi tea, raspberry soda, a muffin and a Swedish cake called "gräddbulle" at "Lilla Kafferosteriet". It was very cozy. The backyard was open so we could sit in the sun and enjoy our tea time.

scones, juice & latte macchiatos

My Mum and I stopped by for lunch at Espresso House in the North Harbour today when we were out for a walk. We both had multigrain scones, orange juice and latte macchiatos and it was very yummy. Right now I'm fixing a bunch of practical stuff and later I'll tan a bit, take a shower and go to work!

business & pleasure in copenhagen

Today I went to Copenhagen to fix some business stuff and afterwards I went sightseeing with my boyfriend. We went to The Little Mermaid, the royal castle Amalienborg and strolled around Kastellet. We also had delicious hipster/gourmet pizza at Pz that we brought to Rosenborg Castle Gardens to enjoy. I had gorgonzola and parma pizza (it was incredibly cheap - 55 kr. for a pizza and a soda!). Later in the afternoon we also went to Café Norden where I had a latte macchiato with homemade caramel and my boyfriend had the raspberry/strawberry smoothie. It has been a super cozy day!

I just finished writing my wish list for my birthday next week! I'm turning 20, which feels rather weird actually... Anyway, do any of you ever write wish lists still? None of my friends do. I do because I always want lots of things and if I don't have a list I won't remember if anyone asks me. Plus, my family members always ask for one. I've been tanning most of the day because it has been such lovely weather! I also took a walk and  shot some pics of my outfit. I'm wearing a black maxi skirt, a black top, orange YSL lipstick and nail polish and golden jewellery.
