swing & paradise beach

Today we rented a motorbike and drove around Koh Samet island (it's not that big). It was a lot of fun because the roads were very wriggly and there were lots of hills. My boyfriend and I also stumbled upon this paradise beach; Ao Wai. There were not many people and the water was turquoise and super clear. They also had the greatest swing ever! I already miss this place...

Dinner today was on a small restaurant at the beach, which was very cozy. We've been in the car most of the morning and at noon we arrived at Koh Samet island and went for a swim.

Getting ready for this weekend. Today I went to work, which was a lot of fun since I'm getting more and more in charge of my experiment. After work i went to do some shopping in Siam Paragon and Siam Center after a minor car crash (my taxi driver rammed into a parked van just when he dropped me off at the BTS station and luckily nobody was hurt). I bought a new Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil, a Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Body Lotion and cheese popcorn from Garrett's (a must for the car trip down to Koh Samed Island...). And now I just finished my California Rolls and my green Genmaicha Tea and I'm preparing a bit for the trip on thursday. When I'm done. we're going downstairs to the gym.

fancy casual makeup

A fancy casual makeup look. I got my eye brows tinted darker and I'm wearing eyeshadow from the Naked 2 palette, primer from Urban Decay, lipstick by YSL, two different kinds of YSL powder (a regular one and one for highlighting), Etude House eyeliner and NARS blush. Sometimes I also wear a foundation by Etude House, it depends on my skin. Hope you had a lovely monday! I'm by the way travelling to Koh Samed Island again this week! So excited!

tanning & terminal 21

Sorry for the weird lightning downstairs... It's still a pretty place to take pictures though. All morning was spent in the sun, by the pool. In the afternoon we went to Terminal 21 to do some shopping. I bought some bracelets, an anklet, tea and passionfruit. I also found a raspberry marmalade that I usually eat at home! I am so happy - the pancakes are saved! We had sushi for dinner and now I'm maybe going to Skype a little and then I'll go to bed. Work tomorrow!

toffee nut frappé & tanning

It feels quite contradictory to drink a Starbucks Christmas Edition Toffee Nut Frappé and tan by the pool... Today was ultra relaxing. I had my usual breakfast, went to tint my eyebrows (I'll show you later) and then I fetched healthy sandwiches from Au Bon Pain and went to the pool to tan, read, relax and swim. Now, I'm waiting for our driver to come and drive us to Thonglor for date night! I hope you have a fabulous saturday evening!

on my way to the weekend

Hey! Today was a long day at work. We did an experiment and had to adjust it a bit. Afterwards I went home,  had dinner and now we're watching a movie. Before I go to bed I'll pamper myself a bit with a long shower, a body scrub and a face mask. I want to be fresh and relaxed for the weekend. Tomorrow morning, I also have an appointment...

healthy breakfast

My healthy breakfast: passionfruit, green grapes, a plum and a cripsbread consisting of eggs and seeds. I  usually drink coffee and/or jasmine tea. This is basically what I eat every morning, with some variation of course.

two spoons tale

Went to Two Spoons Tale today to have coffee. First I, ordered the regular caffe latte after having missed a page in the menu... I didn't have any lunch at work so I treated myself to both the scones and a chocolate lava cake. My boyfriend had a hot chocolate and a choco banana muffin. Everything was very delicious but the three dimensional polar bear latte I ordered after my mistake was extraordinary! Two Spoons Tale is taking latte art to new dimensions!

extreme coral & eyeliner

Sorry for the rather poor iPhone quality. The light in the apartment is really bad for selfies. I always look yellow, which is not that pretty... Anyway, I really love my Yves Saint Laurent Extreme Coral lipstick, it looks quite fresh and the eyeliner from Etude House is also super easy to apply. This was just a quick beauty look from yesterday. Today, I went to work and extracted RNA and afterwards I relaxed in the last sun rays and read Albert Camus by the pool.

sea & space

Went to the aquarium in Siam Paragon today. It was quite cool. In the evening we went to see Interstellar, which was very cool but also a little bit intimidating. The big plus was that we had super cozy couches for two people.

starbucks toffee nut latte

Today I had my first Starbucks Christmas Edition Latte of the year - the Toffee Nut Latte. It was very good, maybe a bit too sweet for me... Next time, I'll try one of the others. In the afternoon we went shopping in Siam Paragon and got tickets for Interstellar tomorrow! I'm excited even though I'm not so fond of space movies... We just had dinner and soon we're going to the gym. I'll probably read some more Albert Camus before I go to sleep. The makeup look today was very casual, it actually looks even more basic in the picture than in real life. I used some nude and light grey shades from Naked 2 and eyeliner from Etude House.

The clothes I crave at the moment... Lace shorts, pretty leather or suede boots and skinny jeans or leather pants. I want to go to Terminal 21 soon and search it for these things... I started my day with "The Stranger" by Albert Camus and coffee on the balcony. Now I'm getting dressed and considering what to do. I think I'll tan for a while and then go to Siam Paragon to shop for a notebook, buy tickets for the cinema tomorrow and food for tonight. Have a lovely sunday!

happy loi krathong

Happy Loi Krathong everybody! We just went to the Benjasiri Park to "loi the krathongs". It's a very pretty and colourful tradition where you send little boats made of flowers, leaves and lights into the water. While you do it, you also have to make a wish. Can you guess what I wished? We didn't stay for a very long time though, since it was super crowded.

lemon meringue pie & carrot cake

We went to get some cakes at Dean & Deluca today. Hopefully we deserved it! Dean & Deluca always have so many cakes and they all look so scrumptious. But I do believe that the lemon meringue pie is extraordinary. By the way, the new Dean & Deluca in Embassy Mall is very nice.

My sweet little sister got one of these while she was here and looked super cute in it so now I've also bought one. I'll try to wear it like Mary-Kate Olsen. I think I want to dye my eyebrows soon, particularly now that I'm slowly getting more tan.

light blue hydrangeas

I bought these pretty light blue hydrangeas. I think they are super pretty, especially with all the cream colour in my room here in Bangkok. These also remind me of home because we have a pink and purple hydrangea bush in our garden. They have tons of gorgeous flowers here and I also want to visit a flower market while I'm here in Bangkok.

long table

My dear little sister went home today, which is quite sad. I am already missing her a lot. But she's coming again in a couple of month and then we'll do lots of fun things together. This picture is from yesterday at Long Table where we had a cozy dinner. Long Table is a really cool restaurant with great thai food. I'm wearing a casual outfit and a bit crazier hairstyle.

While on a walk in the Benjsasiri park, we also fed the turtles. They are so cute! I didn't discover that their heads are slightly blue before now. I also like the moss on the shell of this one.
