I was in school for two hours this morning and afterwards I bought new books for the first semester in Academic Books. I'm currently blogging backwards to let you know what I've been up to during the weekend (sorry for not really blogging during the weekend but starting at the University has been quite hectic...). My school bag is from The Cambridge Satchel Company.

Here are some snaps from the weekend: lemon sorbet from Paradis, the sunset from last night and a Danish type of cream puff from Summerbird (it's amber chocolate and strawberry mousse inside - to die for!). Today we've had guests over for lunch and tea and later today I'm going to my Grandparents'. Currently packing lots of stuff for the next three days of school. I hope you've had a great weekend!

lunch at fishmarket

Mum and I had lunch at Fishmarket, which was super delicious! I'd highly recommend it! The setting is pleasant and there's often a Danish celeb or two there. We both had white wine, scallops for starter and brill as a main course. The scallops were particularly good. They also served mini brioches with butter and a fish paté that was very nice.

There has been so much going on today! I woke up super early and went to my some morning classes, then I met up with my Mum in Copenhagen for some shopping, lunch and coffee. In the evening, I went to meet up with my new class mates and just hang out.

autumn iphone

Even my iPhone is ready for school and autumn now! I love using different coloured cases because my iPhone really is an accessory - and red just seems perfect for fall. The screen saver is a screenshot of a painting by Tobias Tovera (I love his colourful paintings). This is a scheduled post because I'll go to school super early in the morning and I'll be back tonight around 20:00, so I figured that I probably don't have time or energy for blogging.

By the time you read this, I'll probably be in school. It's my first day at the University of Copenhagen where I'm going to study Medicine. Here's some outfit inspiration for all of you, who'll start school soon too! I love white and blue for the last days of August and for September. The weather is still kind of summery and warm... But black is such a classic.

university prep

Today, I've been prepping for school tomorrow... I cleaned my room, ordered stuff, read stuff, packed stuff, planned outfits and now I'm drinking tea, fixing my nails and I've applied a facial mud mask. I'm also fixing blog posts for the next few days. Tonight, I'll be going to sleep early because I got to look (and feel!) fresh tomorrow! Wish me luck!

polar bear ice cream

We're going home today! We decided to spend an extra day here in Tisvildeleje because of the splendid weather, which is probably the last we'll have this year... Sorry for me being pessimistic! Anyway, when we get back, my boyfriend is picking me up and we're getting sushi!

P.S. The ice cream in the picture is a childhood favourite of mine... The polar bear ice cream. Yum!

crab claws, shrimps & scallops

My Grandmother's friend came over for dinner this evening and we had super scrumptious food: crab claws, French shrimps and scallops. Shell fish is my favourite food, particularly crab meat, which had a lighter taste than lobster (I love lobster too though).  Isn't the table pretty too?

I just followed my boyfriend to the station and picked up my BFF. Now we're going to the beach and later tonight, we're going for drinks in Tisvildeleje. And tomorrow we'll do the beach again and visit the famous flea market...

Some snaps from the beach! Currently drinking a caramel milkshake, eating fresh peas and tanning. I can't believe the luck we've had with the weather here.

night swims with mereswines

After dinner me and my boyfriend decided to go for a night swim here in Tisvildeleje. We were joined by 4-8 of these magnificent creatures - they're called mereswines or porpoises and are small whales. Unfortunately this is an iPhone pic so the fin is a little unclear - it's the black thing in the middle of the picture. We were the only ones at the beach and it was a perfect moment.

Now, we're in Tisvildeleje! My boyfriend and I spent most of the day at the beach, which was lovely. I have to really work on my tan these gorgeous sunny days before it's too late! I also had a delicious soft ice with "guf" (a type of strawberry mousse) and cocoa sprinkle. My outfit is also a Tisvildeleje classic... Anyway, now we're going to barbecue and play cards with my grandparents - so cozy!

Tomorrow I'm going to Tisvildeleje - the most essential town in the Danish Riviera (in my opinion). I've been travelling there every summer pretty much since I was a baby. I love going there to swim, tan, spot celebs, browse through the small cute shops on the main street, eat lots and lots of fish and shellfish, have ice cream with "guf" and tan. So that's what I'll be doing the next few days. I really adore the picture of the house covered with ivy, it's such a dream house!

We had some real "Junk Food Royal" at Garage Bar. I had the Cali Classic & Sweet Potato Fries (I'm a big fries fan and I've actually never tried the ones made from sweet potato but they were super yummy) and a 5 $ milkshake. It's a vanilla milkshake with Jack Daniel's, caramel sauce and salt.

I went to Garage Bar (more about the food later) with a couple of friends and sported this look. I'm calling it "summer goth" - not really goth but it still has a faint vibe with the black choker, dark purple Yves Saint Laurent nails and lips. I'm also wearing my new soft-cup bra that is really cute with wine red/purple straps, black lace and dusty pink flower print. The The Kooples shirt I was wearing has a front that suddenly just opens up if it's windy outside, so it's rather good to wear something pretty (or swimwear - it's perfect for after beach parties) underneath it.

new york blueberry cheesecake & raspberry sparkletini

 So, today was a rather relaxing Sunday... I went for a walk and baked New York Blueberry Cheesecake. We had it with Ladurée tea and raspberry "sparkletini". I adore the pink, slightly purple and red shades of the table setting and hydrangea.

frog prince

Look what I got in the mail yesterday! Frog Prince from Queen Lipstick by Poppy! I saw this a while ago and thought it was really cool! Then I  found a retailer in Stockholm called "Cow Parfymeri" when I was there by coincidence. Unfortunately it was all sold out so I ordered it now that it was back in stock on the website. I tried it on in the boutique and once it touches the lips - it turns into a lightly shiny rosebud pink colour, which is just the type of lipstick that I want for everyday use. The lipstick reacts according to the ph-value of the lips of each person and therefore the colour looks different and very flattering on everyone. I look forward to wearing it! It contains E-vitamin and shea butter too so I hope it really softens and mousturizes my lips. Then it will probably my one of my eternal favourites! I'll keep you posted!

alberte wine at vera's deli in råå

Went out to have lunch at Vera's Deli in Råå along with my Mum and sister. We had what we always have when we're there but it's just our beloved classics. We had antipasti, shrimp sandwiches and white whine (it was actually very delicious). I'm keeping a list of wines and champagnes that I really like just in case I have to buy one - then I'd like to be able to choose something that I know I like rather than just looking for pretty and rustic labels. It was super windy today so that's why my hair is a little crazy. The Ilse Jacobsen espadrilles that I'm wearing have really been favourites this summer. I think it's because I've been wearing clothes that are lighter in colour than I usually do.
