summer's over
Summer's over and starting school again is fun - once you get going. I actually like routines but the summer is something special. I love travelling, not knowing what day of the week it is and doing whatever I please whenever I please... But I probably shouldn't complain after such a luxurious summer. But just look at this picture from our island at the Anantara Hotel...

third semester
Today was the first day of the third semester. I study Medicine at the University of Copenhagen, in case you're new to my blog. This year is supposed to be one of the toughest ones, so bare with me in case I cannot blog every day! Tonight, I'm having dinner at my Grandparents' place in Charlottenlund. I really look forward to meet them, I just met them in Tisvildeleje this summer and I've been missing them quite a lot!

club petanque cap
I was just about to ask if you can guess what's inside, but you probably can (particularly because I put it in the caption of this post). I saw the brand in EmQuartier in Bangkok this summer, but then in a shopping craze forgot all about it and then I looked for it all over the internet and in France too and was unable to find it. But they have them in stock again now and I just got mine! I love it already! It's pink and has a petanque player as a logo. I got a cap in Mallorca too, a pink one with a blue or black flamingo from Pull & Bear. Usually, I never use caps because I'm not fond of looking too "sporty". But after all the private boat trips in the Maldives this summer, I realized that I most definitely need one! I'm going to school again tomorrow so I'm currently packing my school bag and prepping my pencil case and stuff.

airport surprises
Palma Airport just made it to my list of top five airport solely due to the stock of Yves Saint Laurent! I went there and looked for some limited edition nail polishes that I haven't been able to get my paws on (or the amount I needed). It looked like they didn't have anything but the lady in the shop asked me and told me that they had almost all past limited edition YSL nail polishes! Incredible! So I got myself three. I got one more of my favourite "nuit blanche" nail polish and I got "nuit noir" and "savage pink". I've regretted that I didn't get the sparkly black nail polish back when I got my white fave and I've hunted for savage pink all over the world (seriously - Denmark, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam, Maldives, France and Mallorca too)! So happy to finally have found them all! Now I know where to go next time I'm short on YSL... Just took a shower after arriving home and soon I'm going back in tanning mode and I have to unpack all of my stuff too. But I enjoy that more than packing actually because it usually means I get to look at new ins one more time!

forn de sant juan palma
Today was the last day in Palma and I'm a little sad because I really adore this city! It's so cozy and it has been such an amazing trip with my family! Today we completed the last round of shopping and then we went to Festival Parks Outlet where I got a bunch of nice stuff from Bimba & Lola (been crushing on some of their jewellery since I was a lot smaller and got a silver bug bracelet from Bimba & Lola in Hong Kong). And we got some more espadrilles in town too and then we went to have a quite posh dinner at Forn de Sant Juan. We had iberico ham (heavenly), then I had fish, a Mallorcan white wine (which was actually surprisingly good) and Crème Brûlée filled strawberries (so yummy and such a great idea to spice up the classic dessert with some fresh strawberries). Thanks for a heavenly and lovely vacation! Now we're going back to Copenhagen (and the real life of a medical student...)!

playa de portixol
We went to the beach just outside of Palma today and the water is a really beautiful greenish blue colour. I also brought a coconut with me that I skilfully cracked in two. We had dinner at a place called Gaudeix in the heart of Palma and they had the best tapas! Garlic shrimps to die for! Unfortunately, it was too dark to take pretty pictures but I highly recommend the place. I've posted these on Instagram before, so if you'd like to stay tuned remember to follow me!

patrón lunares cantina
We were pretty lucky to find this gem in Palma de Mallorca because we hadn't heard of it nor seen it on Tripadvisor or anything. But we were looking for a place to eat with our friends and came across this (later we spotted some Swedish gourmands having dinner there and the quality of the place was pretty much confirmed). Patrón Lunares Cantina was so good that we just had to go back for their burgers, Pisco Sours and Frozen Margaritas. I can't believe we have so little time left here in Palma! It's quite sad and I start school soon but at least I have a weekend when I get back so that I can unpack and prep mentally for school starting again.
hugo at hotel court
After visiting Es Baluard and spending the afternoon at the beach, we stopped at Placa del Cort and enjoyed the famous Hugo cocktail at Hotel Cort. We live right next to the hotel, so this could quickly turn into a habit... The Hugo is such a good and refreshing cocktail containing cava, elderflower syrup, mint leaves and ice cubes. Now we're heading to Patron Lunares, which is such a gem restaurant!
es baluard museum
Today it was overwhelmingly hot in Palma so we decided to spend the most UV rich hours indoors and what better place than Es Baluard Museum. It wasn't that big but it was pretty nice. Unfortunately they had some gender equality exhibition that was really super ugly and barely art in my humble opinion. But there was some Miró and Picasso (like one painting) and some other pretty things too. I liked this wall and one wall that I'll save for a later post with black and white (sort of spooky) paintings. After that, we went to Portixol and tonight we have a reservation at Patron Lunares, which is a terrific restaurant here in Palma. Can't wait for some more tanning, splashing, a burger and a Pisco Sour!

tast club
We rented beach chairs and a parasol at Cala Major today. We found the town rather touristy but the beach was nice (and unfortunately full of tourists of course) hence the beach chairs... Then we went back to Palma, got ready, wandered about in town and enjoyed the atmosphere and warm evening weather and then we went to Tast Club to have dinner. The interior was wonderful and the food was ok (Why would you cut a lobster like multiple little earthworms and put it in a ceviche though? Ew!) and the service was actually rather poor. But it was a pretty place.

lemon crepe breakfast
Breakfasts like this one is really to die for! I went down and bought my little sister a tuna sandwich and myself a lemon juice crepe with a scoop of lemon sorbet and then I sat on the balcony and enjoyed it. So delicious! Waking up a bit warm due to the lack of AC, which is fine but lemon sorbet really is my absolute favourite sorbet and it's so cold and fresh! Today we're going to the beach in Cala Major and we're having dinner in a quite fancy place called Tast Club. More about that later!

pacha party mallorca
My sister and I were invited to Pacha in Mallorca to party, which was quite fun. I've partied more than I regularly do this summer (particularly in Bangkok), because it's a lot more fun going out when you don't even have to bring a sweater or jacket. We had a couple of cocktails and danced most of the evening and then we took a cab back home to the apartment. There were surprisingly many people in Pacha even though it was a Sunday but we had VIP passes so we sipped our cocktails in the VIP area and entered and left super easily. My dress is a new one that I got here in Palma and I don't really remember the name of it. The sandals are from Hugo Boss, the bag is Zadig & Voltaire and the earrings are from Anni Lu.

badal burgers
We went shopping a bit before noon today and my Mum and sister always want to have lunch early (and I'm never particularly hungry so I threw a mini trantrum but the burgers were delicious and I ended up eating everything anyway) so we went to Badal Burgers and had lunch. We also bought some espadrilles for ourselves, family and friends. I'm kind of a big espadrille fan so I got myself one light pink pair and one that is blue and white striped. Later we're going to Anima Beach that is just a little walk from our apartment (we live incredibly close to the cathedral) to cool off after a shopping day in Palma. I can definitely recommend Badal Burgers in case you're going to Palma because they were really good, service was good and the fries were scrumptious too.

nikki beach mallorca
My little sister and I were invited to Nikki Beach this Friday so of course, we wanted to go even though we had to go to Magaluf (which is an uncharming town) but the beach was beautiful (yet full - but what can you expect in the middle of August?) and the beach club was pretty nice. My sister and I chilled, tanned, cooled off in the pool and sipped cocktails and Evian most of the day and then we went home for some dinner in Palma. It was a pretty nice day with fun people! Beach clubs are pretty cool!

playa de palma arenal
Today we decided to flee the pretty hot Palma for a day by the sea and we took the bus to Playa de Palma Arenal which was full of tourists! The water was turquoise and gorgeous but the beach was a little too full. Particularly too full to take some good pictures so this is actually from another Mallorca day when we went to Portixol... Probably not going back to Playa de Palma but we definitely are going back to the beach. The water is cool but not cold. And tonight we're having dinner with our friends Palma, so that will be fun!

palma basket bag & thai pyjamas shirt
We're Palma ready! Heading out in my pyjamas Thai sleeved shirt, white denim shorts and a new basket bag that my Mum bought me. I think it's quite cute with the pink star and the light leather handles. It's a little more fun than the totally plain ones. What do you think about my outfit? Sunglasses are my classic ones from Tom Ford. By the way, my Mum and I wandered around Palma for about and hour looking for grocery shops - turns out we sort of passed one that was like 10 minutes from our apartment... Now, my little sleepy sister woke up and we're heading out for some Palma shopping!

nuit blanche by yves saint laurent
We arrived late in Palma late at night and this is the first time ever we've booked something through Airbnb so we were quite excited and a bit nervous. We were greeted by our host and he was very kind and the apartment was exactly like the pictures; small cozy and rustic in the heart of Palma. And we even have our own little balcony! Can't wait to explore Palma tomorrow and go grocery shopping (yes, I find that exciting in different countries). This is my absolute favourite nail polish number 58 from Yves Saint Laurent in the glittery white shade "nuit blanche". It will be finished soon because these stiletto nails really demand a large amount of polish... Dreaded times!

french goodies
I'm almost packed and ready for Mallorca tomorrow! Pretty excited about more sun, sea, salt, tapas and exploring Mallorca! Our friends are by coincidence in Palma too, so we're probably going to meet up for a couple of dinners, which will be fun. Can't wait to have even more delightful food and more ice cream!

liberte egalite fraternite
More pics from France! These are from St. Tropez too and I know I've shown you the outfit but the Hotel de Ville is really a gorgeous colour. I adore these little dreamy townhouses, it would really be lovely to have a small apartment in St. Tropez. I'm meeting my BFF soon and then I'm going to plan some outfits. I always plan exact outfits for my trips (which is easy when it's a seven-ten day trip, but when it's a month or more it's almost impossible). Now I'm going for a long walk! Stay tuned for more travel pics!

promenade des anglais & nice
Bye Côte d'Azur! I've had a lovely time but now I'm off for a few days at home to unpack, repack and meet up with some friends. And then I'm basically off on my next adventure! I'm going to Mallorca, which I'm really excited about since I've never been there before. I got a cute Zadig & Voltaire bag before leaving Nice and Galeries Lafayette too, which I'll show you later.

white yachts & white outfit
I have quite many pictures from St. Tropez so here are a few more. After having a latte at the Cavalli Café, I went shopping a bit more in Ladurée and then we met up with my boyfriend's family to go to a restaurant where I had moules. For outfit details, please see below! I'm so loving this Brandy playsuit, it's so cute and with a couple of Dior accessories it's pretty cute. By the way, I'm travelling back home to Copenhagen and Sweden before I'm off to my next destination! It has really been such a luxurious summer with all this travelling. Love it!
